Stone (leg) is asking for $9 million heading into his salary arbitration hearing, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone's request is not only $4 million above what the team is seeking, but would also represent a $5.5 million raise compared to what he earned in 2017-18. If the winger were to get his asking price, he would be the 12th highest paid player in the league, despite having been outside the top 50 in points last season. More likely the arbitrator will come down somewhere in the middle, which would put him in line with teammate Bobby Ryan.

Stone (leg) filed for salary arbitration Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
There should be little doubt the two sides will finalize a long-term deal before the start of the 2018-19 campaign, considering the winger has put together four straight 20-plus goal, 50-plus point seasons. All contract negotiations are likely on hold in Ottawa until the future of Erik Karlsson is determined, but Stone should be priority No. 2 for the Sens.

Stone (leg) has received a qualifying offer from the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
This should surprise no one since Stone led all Senators with his stellar rate of offensive production in 2017-18. While a leg injury caused him to miss the final 15 games, he amassed 20 goals, 42 assists and 12 power-play points over 58 contests to best a point-per-game average. All is quiet on the injury front for Stone early in the offseason; we're assuming that's good news but will be sure to circle back when more is known.

Stone (leg) will sit out the remaining two games of 2017-18, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone missed significant chunks of action for the first time in his career in 2017-18, appearing in only 58 games for the Senators. The star winger still racked up 62 points -- 20 goals and 42 assists -- in those contests and figures to see some big contract offers in free agency this offseason.

Stone (leg) will remain out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Sabres, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was initially considered a game-time call for the contest, but it appears he's still not ready to go and the team has no incentive to rush him back into action with the season nearly complete. He has two chances to return Friday against the Penguins and Saturday against the Bruins, but that will likely only occur if Stone feels 100 percent healthy.

Stone (leg) will be a game-time decision against the Sabres on Wednesday, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone will join the team on its three-game road trip, which is an encouraging sign that he will be available for at least one of the final three games. Once given the all-clear, the winger figures to slot into a top-six role role. The Senators will have a decision to make regarding the 25-year-old's future this offseason, as he will be a restricted free agent July 1.

Stone (leg) won't play Monday against the Jets, TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone also said that he won't play in the Worlds unless he's completely fine physically. That could be a sign he's not feeling ready to return soon, which isn't surprising considering that he's now missed 12 games with this injury. The Senators are out of playoff contention, so if the 25-year-old is looking to get 100% healthy, it might make sense for him to sit out the remainder of the season.

Stone (leg), who was seen at morning skate, will not play Thursday night against the Panthers, Brent Wallace of TSN.careports.
EDGE Analysis
Oh, the Senators aren't forcing their top point-getter into a meaningless regular-season contest? Shocker. All jokes aside, Stone said he's hoping to return soon, but there's no clear timeline for that to happen. If he doesn't play again this season, his final output will be 20 goals and 42 assists through 58 games.

Stone (leg) was seen on the ice at the Senators' morning skate on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
This could be a sign that the wing is ready to return and will be on the ice in Thursday's game against Florida. However, the team hasn't confirmed anything yet as far as lineups are concerned. If Stone does play, however, he can be started with confidence in your lineup, as it's highly unlikely that the Senators would take a chance on him when they have nothing to play for unless they're sure he's 100 percent.

Stone could play next week, according to coach Guy Boucher Brent Wallace of TSN reports
EDGE Analysis
A return would be welcome news for fantasy owners in the final games of the NHL regular season, as Stone has been effective when he's played, scoring 20 goals and 62 points this year. However, his return is speculation rather than a concrete timetable at this point, as Boucher merely expressed hope for Stone's return. Consider getting Stone back a bonus if it occurs, rather than counting on his return next week as a sure thing.
