Stone is just waiting on his gear to arrive and is expected to make his Golden Knights debut Tuesday against the Stars, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barring issues with his equipment, Stone will slot in alongside Max Pacioretty and Paul Stastny on the team's second line Tuesday. The star winger inked an eight-year extension to remain in Las Vegas before even dressing for the club, earning him a whopping $9.5 million annually. He's on pace to notch more than a point per game for a second straight season in 2018-19, after collecting 62 points -- 28 goals and 34 assists -- over 59 games with the Senators.

Stone, whom the Golden Knights acquired in a trade with the Senators on Monday, promptly signed an eight-year deal worth $9.5 million annually, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's a firesale in Ottawa with the Senators GM Pierre Dorion having sent Stone to Vegas after Ryan Dzingel and Matt Duchene were already packaged to Columbus over the weekend. Stone's massive contract with Vegas goes to show that the young franchise is serious about making another trip to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Stone was acquired by the Golden Knights on Monday from the Senators in exchange for Oscar Lindberg, Erik Brannstrom and a 2020 second-round pick, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being one of the biggest trade pieces on the market, Stone was one of the final dominos to fall before the deadline. The 26-year-old is expected to sign an extension with his new club right away, though he will likely be looking to earn even more than the $7.35 million he got this year, considering he already set a new career high in goals (28) and needs just three more points to best his 2014-15 productivity. The Winnipeg native figures to immediately slot into a top-six role with Vegas.

Stone has another serious potential suitor in the Golden Knights, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ottawa's asking price remains high for Stone, as the Senators reportedly want more than what they got for Matt Duchene, who fetched two solid prospects and at least one first-round draft pick. Vegas would have the pieces to make that deal happen, but whether the Golden Knights would part with such a package remains to be seen. If Stone was moved, he'd be an instant upgrade to an offense that has been middling this year, as the Golden Knights average 2.9 goals per game.

Stone (coach's decision) will not play Sunday against the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Stone will sit once again as the trade deadline approaches. Interestingly enough, Calgary is reportedly one of the top teams expected to land the 26-year-old before Monday's deadline. If Stone is still on the roster, he should rejoin the lineup in Washington on Tuesday, but that seems unlikely at this point.

Stone remains an enticing trade piece, with Boston, Calgary, Nashville and Winnipeg the most likely teams to land him, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report also says that Ottawa has not completely closed the door on re-signing Stone -- the last major trade piece the Senators haven't shipped out -- but as it is, Ottawa's focus is on dealing him rather than keeping him. If traded to any of the four teams mentioned, his fantasy value would immediately increase.

Stone (coach's decision) will remain out of commission for Friday's game against the Blue Jackets, Kim Vailliere of ICI Ottawa-Gatineau reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone is slated to miss his second straight contest because of the issue and will almost assuredly sit out Sunday's contest against the Flames as well, if he remains with the organization, with the trade deadline approaching Monday. The team added Drake Batherson from the AHL ranks ahead of Friday's game to reach 12 available forwards for the contest.

Stone isn't expected to play Thursday against the Devils, as he's likely to be dealt to another team before Monday's trade deadline, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
There is strong speculation that the Senators could go with a makeshift crop of forwards versus host New Jersey. In fact, Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet has given the hockey world a heads up that Stone, Matt Duchene (undisclosed) and Ryan Dzingel all could be withheld from Thursday's contest with the trade deadline looming.

Stone was seen suited up in Wednesday's practice, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was held out from practice Sunday before tearing up the Blackhawks on Monday to the tune of three points. The 26-year-old has 62 points in 59 games this campaign, and should be good to go for Thursday's game. With the trade deadline approaching, it's unclear whether the Senators will showcase the winger or hold him out to prevent injury.

Stone did not practice with his team Sunday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
As there's been no mention of an injury for Stone, it's possible this was just a maintenance day. However, it could also mean that trade talks surrounding the talented winger are heating up. The trade deadline is just over a week away and it seems like Ottawa is going to be very active in the next few days.
