Scheifele notched three goals and five assists in 10 outings with Canada at the 2017 IIHF World Championship.
EDGE Analysis
Two of Scheifele's three tallies came with the man advantage, a role he thrived in this season with Winnipeg. All told, the center registered 15 points on the power play for the Jets while averaging 3:06 of ice time. It was a banner year for the 24-year-old as he set career highs in goals (32), assists (50), plus/minus (plus-18), and game-winning goals (5). Winnipeg are often a forgotten franchise given their lack of postseason success, but fantasy owners would be remiss to overlook Scheifele who could contend for the scoring title in 2017-18.

Scheifele will join Canada for the 2017 IIHF World Championship.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele will be joined by teammate Josh Morrissey overseas as Canada look to make it a three-peat for the Great White North. During the 2016-17 campaign, the center led the Jets with 32 goals and 50 assists -- an average of 1.04 points per outing -- including seven markers with the man advantage. If Winnipeg is going to challenge for a playoff spot next year, it will be on the back of Scheifele.

Scheifele netted a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele is finishing the season strong, as he is now the owner of 12 points in his last 11 games played with 20 shots on goal over that span. He's held it down on the defensive end of the ice during that time with a plus-8 rating as well.

Scheifele chipped in a goal and an assist at even strength to go with another assist on the power play Tuesday against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele's third-period tally to make it 3-1 turned into the game-winner when his team conceded a meaningless goal with two seconds to play. His line with Blake Wheeler and Mathieu Perreault combined for all three goals and eight points between them as the 24-year-old center pushed his point streak to four games. Don't look now, but Scheifele sits just eight points back of Connor McDavid for the lead league.

Scheifele missed practice Wednesday with an illness, but figures to suit up against the Islanders on Thursday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite Scheifele racking up 16 points in his last 12 outings, the Jets find themselves 10 points back from securing a Wild Card spot. If they are going to make a late push, the center will certainly need to maintain -- or even improve -- his 1.03 point per game average.

Scheifele posted a goal with two assists in Tuesday's 6-5 loss against the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
One of Scheifele's helpers came in a shorthanded situation. He has multi-point efforts in each of his past three games, and five of the past six outings. Scheifele finished February with four goals and 17 points in 11 games. The youngster has emerged as a fantasy superstar, pairing with rookie Patrik Laine to form one of the most potent scoring lines in the league.

Scheifele dished out a pair of assists in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
He helped out on both of Patrik Laine's goals, and those two have gone on a massive tear together -- for Scheifele's part, that equates to nine assists in the last five games. Uncharacteristically, the 23-year-old center has now gone nine straight games without a goal; even so, no one's complaining about a guy with 62 points in 60 games. If you own him, enjoy the ride the rest of the way.

Scheifele dished out a pair of assists in Thursday's overtime loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the scoresheet four straight times, Scheifele's exploded for five assists in two games; because of the hot streak that preceded that skid, he actually still has a dozen points in his last nine contests. He broke out last year with career highs in goals (29) and points (61), but the kid's established himself as a star of the league this season, as he's scoring at a point-per-game clip that has him on pace to blow past those numbers.

Scheifele dished out three assists in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele's helpers all led to goals by Patrik Laine, who registered his third hat trick of the season. The 24-year-old center broke a four-game point drought while putting himself back on a point-per-game pace with 56 apiece. Despite that poor stretch, Scheifele still has six goals and 10 assists in his past 13 games.

Scheifele scored two more goals -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's 4-3 victory over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
He now has three consecutive multi-point games and a purely spectacular 21 points in his last 16 contests dating all the way back to New Year's Eve. The trend line is pointing sharply upward for Scheifele, and at just 23 years old, it's unlikely that he's reached his ceiling yet. That's got to be a scary thought for the rest of the Central Division.
