Fraser was placed on waivers by the Oilers on Monday, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fraser spent the entire 2015-16 campaign in the minors and looks to be on the same trajectory for the upcoming season. Selected in the third round of the 2005 NHL Draft by New Jersey, the blueliner notched just seven points last year, but added 136 PIM, nearly doubling his career total. Even if he gets the occasional call-up, the 30-year-old will likely go unnoticed by most fantasy owners.

Fraser signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Fraser inked the deal shortly after he was released from his professional tryout with the Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old stay-at-home defender will likely split time between the NHL and AHL in 2015-16.

Fraser has been released by his professional tryout with the Maple Leafs, reports TSN.ca. He is expected to sign with the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun he'll sign in Ottawa on a deal worth $800,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. He's a stay-at-home crease clearer who won't have a lot of value in the fantasy arena.

Fraser signed a professional tryout contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Stephen Whyno of The Canadian Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fraser previously skated with the Maple Leafs for 64 games in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons, but he'd do well just to crack the Opening Night roster this time around. The 28-year-old ended up making 34 appearances with the Devils last season when injuries decimated their blue line, but he provided little in the way of production, failing to score a goal and contributing a mere four assists. Fraser will likely just be a depth body in training camp, though he could secure a spot as the club's seventh defenseman if the Maple Leafs prefer to give some of their younger candidates more development time at AHL Toronto.

Fraser was credited with an assist, four hits, and four blocked shots in Tuesday's win over the Predators. The improved play of Eric Gelinas has cost Fraser a regular lineup spot in recent weeks, but he's at least been able to draw back in for the last three games. He's not been totally useless during that time with nine PIM and eight hits in addition to the assist, but the general lack of offensive production throughout his career puts a definite ceiling on his fantasy value.

Fraser skated on the Devils' third defensive pair during warm ups, and appears likely to play Friday against the Ducks, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. While it looks like Fraser will play, his presence won't mean much to fantasy owners. The 28-year-old defenseman has only tallied one assist through five games with New Jersey this season.

Fraser missed Thursday's practice with a suspected hand injury, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Fraser appeared to take a slash to the hand in Wednesday's victory over the Kings. It's possible the Devils just wanted to give him a maintenance day, so his status for Friday's game against the Ducks likely won't be known until the Devils hold their gameday skate.

Fraser was recalled from AHL Albany on Saturday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. With Eric Gelinas (illness) and Peter Harrold (face) unavailable for Saturday's game against the Flyers, Fraser is expected to enter the lineup for his Devils debut. Though he produced a modest three points in 18 games for Albany, he was the only player on the AHL squad with any experience at the NHL level, which likely influenced the Devils' decision to bring him aboard.

Fraser signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Devils on Thursday and was re-added to AHL Albany's roster, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Fraser had previously been on an AHL-only deal, so the new contract will allow him to report to the Devils should the team require a call-up on the blue line. He was placed on waivers earlier in the day to facilitate the transaction, and predictably went unclaimed.

Fraser was placed on waivers Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Fraser signed with the Devils on a two-way deal in the offseason, but he has spent the entire season with the team's AHL affiliate in Albany. His placement on waivers could be for the purpose of releasing him, as the defenseman may prefer to pursue another opportunity at this time.
