Marek Zidlicky might have suffered a concussion during Tuesday's game. Zidlicky left the game in the first period after being checked by Columbus' Derek Dorsett. "I don't know if it has been diagnosed as a concussion yet, but I know he wasn't able to come back to the game, and I know he got his bell rung," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. We'll keep you posted.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Marek Zidlicky had his "bell rung" during Tuesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, leading some to wonder if that's code for a concussion. It's been a disappointing season from the offensive defenseman so far, although he recently finished a three-game points streak. If it is indeed a concussion, then the Wild have been rocked by that injury lately, as Marco Scandella and Guillaume Latendresse are dealing with similar issues.

Marek Zidlicky registered an assist in the Wild's 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks Thursday night. Zidlicky is currently number one by default on the depth chart in Minnesota because of the departure of Brent Burns to San Jose. The offensive blueliner has struggled to put up points early into this season but is still logging a whopping average of 4:29 minutes of ice time on the power play per game, good for 13th place in the NHL at his position. Zidlicky is no stranger to power-play success having piled up 158-career points with the man advantage. The Czech Republic native brings a nice combo of PPP's and PIM's to a fantasy team, which makes him an interesting option as a fourth defenseman. He should be owned in 12-team leagues.

Marek Zidlicky is expected to return to Minnesota's top power-play unit on Thursday night. Wild coach Mike Yeo talked for about 20 minutes with Zidlicky on the ice Wednesday and it appeared to get animated at some points. The offensive blueliner has struggled to put up points early into this season and coach Yeo wants him to get back on track.

Defenseman Marek Zidlicky was removed from Minnesota's top power-play unit and replaced by Jared Spurgeon. Zidlicky is no stranger to power-play success having piled up 158-career points with the man advantage. Among them are 42 goals, including twice having scored 10 PPGs in a season, most recently 2008-09 with the Wild. However, after 10 games this season, Zidlicky has but one PP assist and only two assists overall for both his points.
