Methot (hand) will not dress for Thursday's game against the Senators, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot spent each of the last five seasons with the Senators and is disappointed he will be unable to dress for the team's only trip to Ottawa this season. The veteran blueliner's status shouldn't be of much concern in fantasy circles given his one point -- an assist -- through 28 games this season and his declining ice time. His next opportunity at rejoining the action arrives Sunday when the team travels to Winnipeg.

Methot (hand) won't play Wednesday against Toronto, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The stay-at-home defender was forced to leave Tuesday's loss to Montreal due to the injury, but little else is known about his status. With just a single point in 28 games during what has been an injury-hit campaign, Methot's absence won't make much of a fantasy impact. In his absence, Julius Honka will slot into the lineup.

Methot (upper body) left Tuesday's game against the Canadiens and is unlikely to return, Mike Heika of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot is in his second game back since returning from a lower-body injury. It isn't a good sign for the lineup fixture to be getting injured often with the possibility of playoffs on the horizon. Expect an update after Tuesday's game or Wednesday's morning skate.

Methot (lower body) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Penguins, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot missed just one game with this lower-body issue, but fantasy owners likely aren't pouncing on the opportunity to start him, since he has zero points in the last nine games. His main value is in the hit department, as he has dished out 59 hits in 29 games while compiling 25 PIM.

Methot (undisclosed) won't suit up against the Ducks on Friday, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Methot hasn't been deemed injured, he's not a player the Stars normally scratch, despite just one assist over 26 games this season. Look out for an injury update after Friday's game, and Julius Honka will fill his place for the time being.

Methot had an assist in a 2-1 win over St. Louis on Friday, his first score of the season.
EDGE Analysis
This does deserve an asterisk, as Methot had appeared in one game from Nov. 6 to Friday. But this is another example of Methot being the ultimate stay-at-home defenseman. He's a nice asset for the Stars, but unless you happen to be Stars owner Tom Gaglardi, he contributes nothing for a team you own. There's no reason he should be on your roster.

Methot (knee) will play Friday against the Blues, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Formerly with the Senators, Methot has only appeared in one game since Nov. 6, as he continues to work through knee problems. The 32-year-old is primarily is starting a career-high 58.5 percent of his shifts in the defensive zone this season, which helps explain why he hasn't recorded a point through 16 contests. He's an easy one to pass over in the fantasy realm.

Barring any setbacks, Methot (knee) is expected to return to the lineup for Friday's game against St. Louis, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot's impending return will bolster the Stars' depth at defense, but it shouldn't impact any fantasy lineups. The 2003 sixth-round pick has failed to produce more than 12 points in each of his last two seasons, and he's gone scoreless in 16 contests this campaign. He's still listed on injured reserve, so he'll need to be officially activated before returning to game action.

Methot (knee) won't play Sunday against the Canucks, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot has been banged up for the bulk of the season, and has played once in Dallas' last 41 games. He's expected to return soon, and since the Stars don't play again until Friday this might be the last game Methot misses.

Methot (knee) will not play again Friday against the Penguins, but he is expected to return within a week, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot has failed to tally a point over 16 games with the Stars this season, but the veteran blueliner still owns an even rating for the campaign. While he should provide some reinforcements soon, the team has yet to tag a specific target date for that to occur. Methot will require activation off of injured reserve prior to his return to action.
