Marc Methot scored as many goals on Saturday (two) as he had coming into today's game on the season. It wasn't enough for the Ottawa Senators, who lost to the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 in OT. Methot now has 10 points in 33 games on the season, so he doesn't have no-brainer numbers. He did get more than five minutes of power-play time, however.

Marc Methot will get back into the lineup Thursday night. He missed four games while recovering from the flu. Methot probably could've returned earlier, but the Senators were reluctant to make changes to their lineup. He will dress now and Patrick Wiercioch will sit. Methot has seven points and 88 hits in 31 contests.

Marc Methot (flu) is feeling much better and he could be back in Ottawa's lineup Wednesday night. "I'm feeling good," said Methot. "I've felt good for a bit now. They made it clear when they were talking to me that they wanted me to get a few practices under my belt and get back to speed. I'm just working hard right now." Coach Paul MacLean may not want to tinker with his winning lineup, but Methot is a top-four defender for the Senators. We should know more about his playing status after the team's morning skate.
