Marc-Andre Bourdon practised with his Flyer teammates for the first time this season. Well, better late than never. Bourdon has been sidelined for all but 17 AHL games with a concussion. We do not see him as a fantsay asset in the foreseeable future.

Marc-Andre Bourdon, who has skated in just 17 AHL games this season because of a concussion, returned to Philadelphia last week to begin strengthening his eyes. "I have lots of headaches. The good news is that my doctors tell me it's going to come back," said Bourdon. "My reflexes are there, but my eyesight is off. It's like rehabbing a knee, I need to rehab my eyes and get everything back to where it was." He hasn't been able to do much skating, but he is taking baby steps in that regard. However, he believes he'll be ready to play next season.

Marc-Andre Bourdon is out with another concussion. "He has concussion issues," Philadelphia GM Paul Holmgren said. "I'm concerned because he is out and not playing. But I think there has been players who have had a similar history like his and have been fine." Bourdon suffered two concussions last season, although the one that came in the playoffs against Pittsburgh was unannounced and had been classified as an upper-body injury.

Marc-Andre Bourdon had an assist in Adirondack's 2-1 win over Rochester on Friday night. Bourdon is a stay-at-home defenseman in every sense of the word, so the fact this is just his first point of the season isn't a shocker. Still, solid play that's not always shown in the scoreboard in the AHL could help improve his stock to make the Flyers' lineup as a bottom-tier defender.

Marc-Andre Bourdon was back in Adirondack's lineup last Friday against Albany after he missed the previous two contests with an upper-body injury. He also played in the team's next two matches on Saturday versus Rochester and on Sunday at Syracuse. Bourdon didn't record a point over that three-game span, but he did rack up five shots and 10 penalty minutes. He appeared in 45 games with the Flyers last season and may have had a shot to earn a roster spot with the team at training camp.

Marc-Andre Bourdon has re-signed with Philadelphia on a two-year contract worth $1.225 million. He skated in 45 games with the Flyers in 2011-12 during his introduction to the NHL and may get a shot with the team out of training camp due to the absence of Andrej Meszaros, who is out indefinitely with a torn Achilles tendon.

Marc-Andre Bourdon (upper-body injury) will be a game time decision for Sunday afternoon's contest. If he can't answer the bell, Pavel Kubina will dress once again.

Marc-Andre Bourdon (upper body) didn't take part in Friday's practice. Bourdon sustained the injury during Wednesday's game. He should be considered doubtful for Game 2 on Friday.
