Ullmark will get the starting nod Saturday against the Devils, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ullmark has played pretty well with AHL Rochester early on in 2015-16, recording a 2.72 GAA and .932 save percentage through the first three games of the season. If he's able to play well Saturday against the Devils, the 22-year-old netminder could get more opportunities going forward, as Chad Johnson has largely struggled in place of the injured starter Robin Lehner (ankle), posting a 2-5-0 record with a 3.06 GAA and abysmal .879 save percentage. Luckily for Ullmark, he draws into a favorable matchup Saturday against New Jersey, who have only averaged 2.14 goals scored per game thus far this season.

Ullmark was called up Friday morning, reports Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
The former Swedish Hockey League Goalie of the Year was very good in three games for Rochester, posting a .932 save percentage despite two losses. The 22-year-old is seen as the future starting goalie for the Sabres and should make his NHL debut Saturday night against New Jersey. Chad Johnson has filled in admirably for injured starter Robin Lehner (high ankle sprain) but if Ullmark performs well, the Sabres may opt to go with the hot hand. He's well worth keeping an eye on in the short-term. Nathan Lieuwen was assigned to the minors to make room for Ullmark.

The Sabres activated Ullmark (hip) from injured reserve Saturday and assigned him to AHL Rochester.
EDGE Analysis
Ullmark has recovered from the hip surgery he underwent earlier this year, and he will head to Rochester to resume playing. He and Andrey Markov will handle the goaltender duties for Rochester.

Ullmark could return to active status within the next week, Hockey Buzz reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Robin Lehner injured, Ullmark was elevated from AHL Rochester to serve as the backup goalie at Friday's practice. However, after undergoing double hip surgery in the spring, he's yet to be medically cleared to play. As a result, he's unlikely to see immediate game action, but coach Dan Bylsma said he could be back within 3-to-5 days.
