Ullmark (undisclosed) still had the day-to-day label ahead of a home contest against the Red Wings on Thursday, but he is moving closer to his return.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds like Saturday's road game against the Predators is a more realistic return target for Ullmark, for whom there's little information available except that he's been "dinged up." The Swede has looked good in limited action, as he's maintained a lofty .935 save percentage through five appearances in 2017-18.

Ullmark will not start against the Maple Leafs on Monday, as he was "dinged up" at morning skate, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres reportedly will start Chad Johnson in this contest, so adjust your lineups accordingly to account for the last-minute change. It appears that Ullmark won't dress for this one.

Ullmark will be in goal for Monday's matchup with Toronto, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ullmark will be making a fifth consecutive appearances between the pipes, having posted a 0-2-0 record and .910 save percentage in his last four. Considering the 24-year-old is the only Buffalo netminder under contract for the 2018-19 campaign, the Sabres probably want to get him as much work as possible down the stretch in order to help them make decisions regarding the futures of Chad Johnson (UFA) and Robin Lehner (RFA).

Ullmark stopped 10 of 11 shots after replacing Robin Lehner midway through the second period in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second time in the last three games that the 24-year-old has had to bail out the Sabres' starting netminder, although in this case there was no injury to blame. Ullmark has yet to pick up a win since being recalled from AHL Rochester in mid-March, but he'll likely get a few more chances to do so with Buffalo playing for nothing but their position in the draft lottery.

Updating a previous report, Ullmark will actually cede Saturday's starting duties to Robin Lehner, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ullmark was initially believed to be the starter for Saturday's matchup, but coach Phil Housley indicated otherwise in his pregame presser. He instead appears destined to warm the bench and should be at the ready if Lehner struggles or suffers an injury. Ullmark's next opportunity to start between the pipes arrives Monday versus the Maples Leafs, though there's no guarantee he will get the nod then either.

Ullmark will face the Rangers in New York on Saturday, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres have been eliminated from playoff contention, so coach Phil Housley will get a closer look at the only goalie on the active roster whose currently under contract past the 2018-19 campaign. Ullmark has impressed in limited NHL action, maintaining a 2.01 GAA and .938 save percentage through four games this season. Buffalo's league-worst record will cause plenty of fantasy owners to pass on him, but the upcoming challenger isn't all that great either, with the Rangers possessing a minus-26 goal differential and hoping to put an end to a three-game losing skid.

Ullmark saved 21 of 22 shots during Friday's 3-0 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old Swede has stopped 105 of 112 shots for a .938 save percentage through four appearances this season, which is particularly impressive when starting in front of a basement-dwelling club. Where Ullmark fits into the Buffalo goaltending pecking order for the remainder of this season and leading into the 2018-19 campaign is up in the air, and even with his solid play, fantasy expectations for the remainder of this year should probably be kept in check.

Ullmark will start Friday against the Habs, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chad Johnson left Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury before Ullmark stepped in to stop 12 of 13 shots. The highly-regarded Swedish goalie will make his fourth appearance and third start of the season. Ullmark started Monday against the Predators and allowed four goals on 32 shots. The Habs should be a much easier opponent even with Carey Price back in the net. Fantasy owners looking for a streaming start should consider Ullmark, but be aware that the Sabres offense may not be good enough to bail him out.

Ullmark stopped 12 of 13 shots after replacing Chad Johnson (undisclosed) early in the second period of Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was shaken up early in the first period when a point shot caught him in the mask, but he remained in the game until finally giving way to Ullmark six minutes into the second. Robin Lehner (undisclosed) was also sidelined Wednesday, so Ullmark could end up seeing the bulk of the action in net over the final weeks of the season if either or both other Buffalo goalies are unable to get back on the ice.

Ullmark stopped 28 shots in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old didn't get much help from his defense in his second start of the season and first since Jan. 11. Ullmark has only seen action in one of three games since being called up from AHL Rochester due to some time away from the team for the birth of his first child, but he's likely to get a bigger workload down the stretch of another lost season for the Sabres.
