Kyle Clifford (undisclosed) didn't skate on Monday. The Kings didn't update his status after the session, so his availability for the start of Round 2 is questionable. Clifford didn't play in Game 6 against St. Louis.

There are no updates on the status of Kyle Clifford and Matt Greene. Clifford is out with an undisclosed injury after he was unable to play in Game 6. Greene is also out with an undisclosed injury as he has not played since April 24. He has been practicing so he could return to action in the second round against San Jose.

It's expected that he'll be fine to play alongside Colin Fraser and Tyler Toffoli during Game 6 Friday night. If he can't play then Jordan Nolan, who took the line rushes in his place, or Colin Fraser may dress instead.

The 22-year-old is one away from his career high in goals, which is seven, and points, which is 14, though he's done this in the shortened season, so it's definitely a good sign. Trevor Lewis and Jarret Stoll had the helpers.

Left winger Kyle Clifford scored the game winner for Los Angeles as the Kings edged the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 Thursday night. It was Clifford's fifth goal of the season. Defenseman Drew Doughty got the Kings' other marker, his sixth of the season.

Both Clifford and Setoguchi suited up for Ontario Reign during the work stoppage and although they rarely played on the same night, Clifford was impressed with what he saw from Setoguchi. "I was surprised with the amount of speed he has. He's really quick with his first three steps. Obviously, he's got a knack for scoring."

Clifford, who just turned 22, led the Kings in penalty minutes and majors last season with 123 and 11 respectively, but had only 12 points in 81 games, so this scoring outburst was not foreseen. He has moved from the fourth unit to the second line, alongside Mike Richards and Jeff Carter. He also leads the Kings with a plus-six rating. Pick him up, especially if you are looking for penalty minutes and/or hits.

Kyle Clifford has started the season on a three-game point streak. Clifford assisted on Jeff Carter's second period goal in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss. He won't end up with much fantasy value overall in 2013, but if you like to grab players when they're hot and dump them when they cool down, then Clifford might still have some juice left in his current streak.

Kyle Clifford practiced on a line with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter on Wednesday. Carter and Richards are still searching for their first point while Clifford has gotten off to a strong start. The trio will probably get a chance to play together on Thursday.
