Brodziak (back) took part in practice Wednesday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. It doesn't appear that the back issue that kept Brodziak out of commission the previous three days is anything that will impact his availability for the start of the regular season. He's on tap to open the campaign as the Wild's fourth-line center. Relative to other checking-line players, Brodziak won't offer as much fantasy value in the form of PIM and hit totals, but he does present more upside as a scorer.

Brodziak (back) is not practicing Tuesday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Brodziak continues to recover from a back ailment that's kept him out of action for the past three days. He missed the team's preseason opener against the Jets on Monday and his status is up in the air for Thursday's contest against Pittsburgh.

Brodziak hasn't skated either of the last two days due to a back ailment, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. The injury will keep Brodziak out of the Wild's preseason opener Monday against the Jets, but the team isn't classifying the ailment as a major concern. Brodziak is probably again ticketed for fourth-line duty with the Wild this season, after compiling eight goals, 16 assists, and 61 penalty minutes a year earlier.

The Minnesota Wild are reportedly shopping Kyle Brodziak. The Wild aren't likely to get much for Brodziak, but they might just want to get rid of his roughly $2.8 million cap hit. He had 24 points and 61 penalty minutes in 81 games in 2013-14.

Kyle Brodziak will center a line featuring the surprisingly effective Dany Heatley Sunday afternoon in Game 2 against Chicago. Cody McCormick will be the third member of the Wild's fourth unit. Heatley has five points in six playoff games and seems to be enjoying some sort of resurrection. The underrated Brodziak can take some of the credit for that.

Kyle Brodziak scored a goal in Minnesota's 5-2 loss to Chicago in Game 1 of their second round playoff series on Friday night. Brodziak converted a 2-on-1 down low with Erik Haula, lifting home his third of the postseason at 6:56 in the third period to square the game. Brodzik now has six points in seven games in the postseason. Defenseman Clayton Stoner scored the other goal for the Wild and that was his first ever NHL playoff goal.

Kyle Brodziak collected three assists in Wednesday night's Game 7 victory against Colorado. He helped set up Minnesota's two goals in the third period and the game-winner in overtime. Brodziak was a healthy scratch in Game 3, but he ended up with five points in six contests in the series.

Kyle Brodziak scored a goal in the Wild's 4-3 overtime defeat in Game 5. Brodziak has two goals in four playoff games. That's pretty impressive when you consider that he's only fired five shots on goal. Of course, we don't expect him to continue at anything close to that goal scoring pace.

Kyle Brodziak is projected to return to Minnesota's lineup on Thursday night. He was a healthy scratch in Game 3 but with Matt Cooke suspended, Brodziak will return to the Wild's fourth line. It's expected that he'll center a unit between Dany Heatley and Cody McCormick.
