The winger has produced three points in six games for the Blackhawks since returning to the lineup last Tuesday after missing time with a lower-body injury.

If he continues to skate on the second line, more points should start to follow. Versteeg (lower body) practiced with the team Monday. The winger has yet to suit up this season, but will likely be back in action Tuesday against the Flyers. Versteeg skated on the second line at Monday's practice alongside Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane. If that is indeed how the lines shake out for Tuesday, expect Brandon Saad to be bumped down to the third line, and Jeremy Morin to end up watching from the press box.

Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville though said that he appeared to be ahead of schedule. "He said he skated well today and he feels real good," Quenneville said. "He's made significant improvement." If you go by the original time schedule, Versteeg would be back for the October 28th game against the Ducks at home.
