Hayes (lower body) will miss 2-3 weeks due to injury.
EDGE Analysis
The forward has been having his best career year, with 35 points in 47 games, so being sidelined risks sending the solid season off the rails. Because of the All-Star break, missing time won't equate to as many missed games as an injury at a different point in the season. Most of Hayes' 16:49 minutes per game will likely go to Oscar Lindberg.

Hayes (lower body) left Sunday's game against Detroit in the second period and won't return, Justin Tasch of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The winger has been hot lately, with seven points in his last six games, including three multi-point performances. If he's forced to miss time, it would likely end that hot streak, and could force the Rangers to pull someone up from the AHL, given that they currently have only four centers on the roster.

Hayes notched two assists -- one shorthanded -- and fired six shots on net in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
He helped out on J.T. Miller's eventual game-winner and Michael Grabner's third-period shortie that sealed the deal. Hayes has been an impressively regular scoresheet presence over the last three weeks, ripping off a dozen points and a plus-6 rating in 10 games. Crucially, he's taken 25 shots in that span, representing a major rise from his prior production in that category. Hayes is now just a single point shy of matching last year's 36, and his career-high total of 45 from his rookie season is almost certain to be surpassed as well.

Hayes set up two goals Saturday -- including one shorthanded -- in a 5-4 road loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes is having a remarkable year. The 24-year-old has already churned out 20 helpers and 33 total points to complement a plus-17 rating. However, the fun doesn't stop there, as he's manufactured three game-winning goals and seven points on special teams. Enjoy the spectacle.

Hayes scored two goals, registered three shots on net and posted a plus-3 rating during Wednesday's win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
In line for a career year, the versatile 24-year-old forward is now up to 13 goals and 30 points through 41 games for the campaign. Hayes has negative regression ahead of his 18.8 shooting percentage, and he isn't a go-to scorer for New York. However, the Rangers are scoring enough for Hayes to get his, and he is just kick-starting his prime offensive years. He checks out as a solid asset in the majority of seasonal leagues, and where applicable, his plus-14 rating is a nice bonus.

Hayes dished out three helpers -- two on the power play, one on an empty-netter -- in Thursday's 6-3 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
There he is. Fantasy owners had been missing Hayes over the last 15 games, as he'd gone ice cold -- just a single goal, four assists and a minus-4 rating. Before that stretch, the 24-year-old started the season with 19 points and a plus-16 rating through 22 games, and he's got the upside to perform like that every time out; game-to-game consistency, however, has been hard to come by. Even so, the third-year forward is easily on pace to cruise past the 45 points he put up as a rookie.

Hayes banged home a rebound in front of the net on the power play with just 1:09 remaining Thursday, sending the Rangers to a 2-1 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
He'd gone without a point for five straight games, so this was a huge goal for Hayes as well as the Rangers' scuffling power play. Hayes put four shots on net, which is nice to see, but we're still looking from some more consistency in that regard -- he turns out these occasional nice shot totals, but never puts a few such games together. The 24-year-old has taken four or more shots only four times in 28 games this year, and yet he has 20 points.

Hayes enters Thursday's tilt against Winnipeg on a five-game slide without a point.
EDGE Analysis
His ice time's still plentiful and he's still getting his chances on the man advantage, but Hayes could use a little coaching up right now. The 24-year-old looked like he was heading for a major breakout season with 18 points in his first 20 games, only to hit the skids in late November and early December. For a guy who owns 10 goals, Hayes has been surprisingly hesitant to shoot at times lately, as he seems to always be looking to make that perfect play; he needs to get back to challenging goalies and grinding it out in front of the net.

Hayes picked up a goal on a season-high six shots and a shorthanded assist to go with a plus-2 rating in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
He led all Rangers forwards in ice time (17:28) while continuing his remarkable start to the year, which includes the NHL's second-best rating (plus-17). It's quite noteworthy that he was able to put so many pucks on net in this one, as Hayes hadn't taken more than two shots in a game since way back on Oct. 26. He's been highly productive despite not even averaging two shots per game, with 18 points evenly split between goals and assists, but Hayes' 27.2 shooting percentage is primed for major regression, so he'll need to get a little more proactive to keep up the pace.

Hayes scored two goals in a 7-2 rout of the Canucks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes has been an absolute beast this season, as he now has an even eight goals and eight assists in 17 games. He's also skated to an awesome plus-15 rating, making him one of the best early breakout candidates for 2016-17.
