Holl (undisclosed) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Rangers, according to coach Derek Lalonde.

Holl has chipped in three assists, 14 blocked shots and 15 hits in 16 games this season. Detroit may need to bring up an extra defender at some point, but Jake Walman (illness) is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers.

Holl posted three assists and a plus-5 rating in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames.

EDGE Analysis

Holl has been steady defensively early in his Detroit career, but he had no offense to show for it until Sunday. The trio of helpers accounted for his first offense this season. The 31-year-old blueliner has added a plus-9 rating, four blocked shots, two hits and two PIM through five contests.

Holl signed a three-year, $10.2 million deal with the Red Wings on Saturday, per Joshua Kloke of The Athletic.

EDGE Analysis

The deal will carry an AAV of $3.4. Holl tallied two goals and 18 points in 80 games last season with the Maple Leafs while racking up 151 hits and 139 blocked shots. While the 31-year-old defenseman won't offer enough offense for fantasy purposes, he'll help bring a physical element to the Red Wings blue line.

Holl earned an assist in Monday's 5-4 comeback victory over the Lightning.

EDGE Analysis

While Holl was able to bring an eight-game pointless streak to a close, he still hasn't scored in 49 consecutive contests dating back to Dec. 27 versus the Blues. Given his limited offensive upside, the blueliner has just two shots in his last six outings, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on Holl producing with any regularity.

Holl garnered an assist versus Columbus on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Holl may have gone 40 games without finding the back of the net, and registering just 27 shots along the way, but has been producing assists of late with four in his last eight contests. Without a role with the man advantage, the Minnesota native will be hard-pressed to offer more than mid-range fantasy value.

Holl recorded an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Kraken.

EDGE Analysis

Holl has produced a pair of assists and a plus-5 rating over five games since he was a healthy scratched Feb. 15 versus the Blackhawks. The 31-year-old doesn't produce much offense, but he's usually a solid defender, though the Maple Leafs will occasionally want to get Conor Timmins into the lineup. Holl is at 13 points, a plus-14 rating, 42 shots on net, 117 hits and 103 blocked shots through 59 outings.

Holl will be a healthy scratch Wednesday versus the Blackhawks, reports Sportsnet.ca.

EDGE Analysis

Until now, Holl has played all the Leafs' games this season. But he was minus-3 in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Columbus. He really struggled with boxouts, and it was his man, Kent Johnson, who got position and tipped home the game-winner. Holl doesn't provide much fantasy value with two goals, nine assists and 26 PIM in 54 games. A night or two in the press box may serve his game well.

Holl logged an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Bruins.

EDGE Analysis

Holl has done well lately, picking up four helpers and a plus-2 rating over his last five contests. The 31-year-old defenseman doesn't typically contribute offense at such a rate -- he's much more of a physical presence on the Maple Leafs' blue line. He has 11 points, a plus-12 rating, 40 shots on net, 100 hits, 89 blocks and 24 PIM through 52 games this season.

Holl notched two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.

After helping set up Calle Jarnkrok for what proved to be the game-winner midway through the second period, Holl collected another assist on an Auston Matthews tally in the third. It was the first multi-point performance of the season for the veteran blueliner, and Holl has just two goals and nine points through 48 games, although he's supplemented that meager offense with 84 blocked shots, 93 hits and a plus-12 rating.

Holl logged an assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Coyotes.

EDGE Analysis

With a goal and two assists in his last three games, Holl has been unusually productive. The 30-year-old typically plays more of a physical and defensive role with limited scoring contributions. He's up to six points, 32 shots on net, 71 hits, 63 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 36 contests.
