Faulk entered the All-Star break with just three points and a minus-5 rating in his last 15 games.
EDGE Analysis
It would be easy to dismiss Faulk's early season success (30 points in his first 36 games) as a fluke, but make no mistake -- Faulk is for real. He's still seeing a lot of ice time, averaging just under 25 minutes per game, and he shoots the puck a TON -- in fact, his 154 shots rank second among NHL defensemen (Brent Burns is first with 205). He still has a shot at a 50+ point season, which would be no small feat on an offensively-challenged team like the Canes. He's that good. And he needs to be in your lineup at every opportunity.

Faulk set up the overtime-winning goal Tuesday as the Hurricanes beat the Penguins 3-2.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the greatest night for the stud rearguard, who skated to a minus-1 and didn't record a shot on goal for just the third time all season. Faulk now has points in consecutive games after being held off the scoresheet for six straight from Dec. 29 to Jan. 8, so hopefully he's snapped his cold spell. Nonetheless, with 14 goals and 32 points -- both of which pace the Hurricanes -- the American has emerged as one of the most valuable d-men in fantasy hockey and as such, should be locked into your lineup at all times.

Faulk scored his 14th goal of the season in Sunday's 2-1 win against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
With the score, Faulk moved into a tie for first place among goals by a defenseman with Sharks' Brent Burns. He's been incredibly productive in December with six goals and 12 points in 12 games.

Faulk scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 3-1 win over the Devils on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Wow. Faulk has 13 goals in 35 games this season after tallying 15 in 82 last season. And he's on pace for 30 goals and 68 points. Faulk is good, but we're not convinced he's Erik Karlsson good, so he's bound to slow down as the season gets tougher.

By scoring 12 of Carolina's 20 power-play goals this season, Faulk is on his way to setting an NHL record, according to the league's website. No player since Pavel Bure (2000-01) and Brett Hull (1990-91) have scored more than 41% of their team's goals with the man advantage.
EDGE Analysis
Pretty impressive stuff for the 23-year-old rearguard who is proving to be one of the few bright spots - maybe even the only one - on an otherwise dismal Carolina team this season. His power-play prowess aside, Faulk's value to the Canes simply cannot be overstated. He plays in all situations, leading the team in overall ice time per game (25:07) and on the power play (3:23), and he's second in shorthanded minutes (2:18). He has nine points in his last eight games and leads the Canes in scoring for the second straight season. In fact, his 27 points in 34 games rank him fourth in scoring among NHL defensemen, and he's third in shots on goal with 102. Bottom line, Faulk is emerging as an elite, multi-category fantasy stud who should never be out of your lineup as long as he's healthy.

Faulk scored his 12th goal of the season and had an assist in 27:33 of ice time in Saturday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
That's three straight multi-point games for Faulk, who continues to have a remarkable season. He scored on the power play Saturday and has now scored four power-play goals in his last four games. In fact, every single goal he's scored this season has come with the man advantage. The blueliner is simply fantasy gold and has 25 points in 30 games on the year. He's one of the best offensive defenseman in the game and he's only 23. Simply incredible. Use him well.

Faulk dished out two assists in Friday's win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
That's back-to-back multi-point games for Faulk, who has racked up four power-play points in his last three games. The 23-year-old is an elite offensive defenseman who is tied for the NHL-lead with a whopping 11 power-play goals this season. The minute muncher, who logged 26:22 of ice time Friday, now has 23 points (11 goals) in 29 games on the season, making him a must-start every game.

Faulk scored a pair of goals and fired five shots on goal in Tuesday's loss to the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
The season Faulk is putting together right now is scary. The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals -- all on the power play -- in 28 games and has established himself as an elite offensive defenseman. He's averaging a whopping 24:56 of ice time and is easily one of the best best power-play quarterbacks in the NHL at the moment. With 21 points in 28 games on the year, Faulk is simply a must-start every game.

Faulk scored a game-winning, power-play goal to give Carolina the win Sunday against Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Faulk recorded his ninth goal of the season, all of which have been scored with the man advantage. Sunday's goal was the first in seven games for the young defenseman, however his nine power-play goals are more than the rest of the team combined. A top contributor, Faulk leads the Hurricanes in goals, points, and average ice time for the year.

Faulk went plus-3 with a pair of assists in Wednesday's win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes are struggling this season with an 8-10-4 record and minus-16 goal differential, but don't let that deter you from scouting Faulk in fantasy circles. The 23-year-old blueliner has eight goals -- all on the power play -- along with 10 assists which currently has him leading all Carolina skaters in the points department.
