Bailey dished out two helpers in Friday's loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders scored four goals on the night, but couldn't contain a Tampa Bay team that netted a season-high seven goals en route to their third straight victory. Bailey has put up 12 goals and 31 points in 72 games this season, which can be seen as a bit of a letdown. He had around 40 points in each of his previous two seasons, but he does have points in back-to-back games, so he could finish the season strong, especially if he continues playing on the top line with John Tavares.

Bailey scored the game-winning goal in OT and went plus-1 win on a 2-1 victory over the Flames on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After going 13 games without a goal earlier this year, Bailey now has four in his last 11 games. While he has certainly been having a rough season so far, the 26-year-old has managed to get back to the mid-15 minute range ice time he was averaging earlier in the season, showing that his coaches are more confident in his abilities again, as well. This stretch may have been just what the doctor ordered to get Bailey back on track.

Bailey notched a goal -- his first since Dec. 21 -- and an assist Thursday in a 3-2 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
He was a driving force behind the Isles' offense in this one, but it wasn't quite enough. Bailey's sprung out of the All-Star break with three points in two games -- quite the change of pace from the three points he'd collected in his previous dozen contests. The 26-year-old's ice time has fallen off recently, dropping into the mid-13-minute range from the approximately 16 minutes per game he was averaging for much of the season, but it's possible that Bailey could regain top-six ice time at the expense of Nikolay Kulemin if he can put a little hot streak together.

Bailey hasn't scored and goal and only has three assists in his last 10 games.
EDGE Analysis
Bailey only has seven goals and 20 points on the season. He's not the only Islander struggling to light the lamp but the former first round pick may find himself buried on the third line for most of the rest of his career if he doesn't start to show some offensive prowess.

Bailey has only scored twice in his last 14 games but is currently still playing on the top line with John Tavares.
EDGE Analysis
This is one of the more curious moves by coach Jack Capuano. Bailey has never been much of a goal scorer (16 being his career high) but still remains on the top line. Why Capuano wouldn't give a player such as Ryan Strome or Brock Nelson a bump up is questionable to say the least.

Bailey tallied his 11th assist of the year as the Islanders doubled up the Maple Leafs 6-3 on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
That's 18 points in 36 games for Bailey, who continues to provide value to the Islanders and deeper fantasy leagues with his occasional secondary production. Bailey is a versatile forward, frequently bouncing around the Isles' top-nine forward corps. He's inconsistent and doesn't shoot the puck a ton (54 SOG this year), but Bailey put up 41 and 38 points over the last two seasons and is on pace for 41 again this year. If you can handle the dry spells, the 26-year-old makes for an adequate fantasy option -- especially when he gets a shot to skate with superstar John Tavares on the top line and power play, where he's currently slotted.

Bailey only scored twice in November but they were in two of the last three games.
EDGE Analysis
Baily has never been the player the Islanders thought he would be when they drafted him in the first round. He is on pace for a typical season, 15-18 goals and about 40 points.

Bailey collected a pair of helpers in Friday's win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
A much-needed offensive outburst from Bailey, who had gone seven straight games without registering a point. The 26-year-old is now up to three goals and eight points in 17 games on the season. While he's currently skating on the second line, Bailey has never surpassed 16 goals in his career, so don't expect monstrous totals. After setting a career high with 41 points in 2014-15, Bailey has established himself as a solid offensive contributed who can produce points at a decent rate.

Bailey was in the press box for Sunday's loss to Boston, reports Newsday.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Jack Capuano blames Bailey for a goal last Sunday versus Buffalo where he was a little slow getting back to help out in his own zone. The Islanders have been struggling of late and with the demotion of Ryan Strome to the AHL and the benching of Bailey, Capuano is sending a message to the team to pick up their play or have a similar fate.

Bailey is expected to play on the top line with John Tavares, reports Newsday.
EDGE Analysis
Bailey has had a hot start to the season with three goals and six points in nine games. Coach Jack Capuano is a tinkerer, constantly changing his lines but one might ask here, if it isn't broken, why fix it? Bailey was giving the Isles good secondary scoring playing with Kyle Okposo on the second line and it wasn't like Tavares was struggling. Either way it's unlikely that Capuano will keep this line together long, sooner or later he will feel the itch to make yet another change.
