Bailey will be held out of Thursday's game versus the Senators with a foot injury, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
It was generally expected that Bailey would serve as a healthy scratch Thursday, but he apparently was still hurting at morning skate from Tuesday's game. During that victory over the Ottawa, he took a hard shot off his foot that appears to still be presenting him with some soreness.

Bailey scored a goal in Saturday's loss to the Lightning. He has a point in each of his last four games.
OK, so there was a bit of gap in that four-game span because of injury. But we like how he has picked right up from where he left off before the hurt. Much has been expected of this 25-year-old veteran who is already in his seventh season. But he hasn't delivered more than 38 points in a season and we can't help but think his potential has been stunted by playing so young on a crummy team. He may some day be a 50-point center, but that's only valuable in the deepest of leagues.

Bailey (hand) has been activated from injured reserve, according to the NHL's official media site reports.
Bailey was a full participant at Thursday's practice, which was apparently enough to convince the Islanders he'd be ready to go for Friday's game against the Panthers. He figures to play on the team's second line alongside Frans Nielsen and Mikhail Grabovski. Bailey had been out since Oct. 23 with the broken hand.

Bailey isn't taking any contact yet so his return is not imminent but he should still be back earlier thatn the original timetable, perhaps as soon as next week when the Islanders return home.

Bailey (hand) could return to the lineup sooner than expected, according to Newsday.
When Bailey broke his hand it was originally thought that he would be out about a month. It seems however that he could be back as soon as early November and he will travel with the Islanders on their five game road trip that starts Thursday.

Bailey suffered a broken hand during Thursday's game versus the Bruins, according to Newsday's Arthur Staple.
There is no word yet on how long Bailey will be out of the lineup for or how he suffered the injury. Bailey had been bouncing between the second and third lines so far this season and shouldn't be a big loss for the Islanders.
