Eberle (undisclosed) will not play versus the Blackhawks on Thursday, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle took to the ice for an optional skate Thursday morning, but all signs point to him sticking on injured reserve for the time being. The veteran forward's next chance to play will now arrive Saturday for a road game against the Blues.

Eberle (undisclosed) is on the ice for an optional team skate Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle is on IR but has been deemed day to day as far as his availability to play Thursday versus the Blackhawks. On the season Eberle has seven goals and 17 points in 35 games, but also has a rating of minus-11. More was expected of Eberle in a contract year. When Eberle does return he will likely be reunited with Anders Lee and Brock Nelson on the top line for the Islanders.

Eberle (undisclosed) is day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game against the Blackhawks.

EDGE Analysis

This doesn't necessarily mean that Eberle will miss the next game, but it certainly doesn't sound promising either. The 28-year-old forward technically remains on injured reserve, and Isles coach Barry Trotz may have to do some lineup shuffling with Thomas Hickey and Valtteri Filppula -- both bogged down by upper-body injuries -- at different stages of their recovery.

Eberle (undisclosed) is not in the lineup for Monday's road game against the Sabres, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Islanders' forward will miss his third straight game Monday, but Eberle stands to benefit from two days off following tonight's contest. He'll hope to return Thursday against Chicago but needs to come off IR before he is eligible to play.

The Oilers placed Eberle (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle missed Friday's game against the Senators due to "stiffness," but his placement on injured reserve suggests he might be dealing with something more serious than minor bumps and bruises. The veteran winger will be eligible to return Monday against the Sabres, but there's no telling if he'll be ready for that contest at this juncture.

Eberle (undisclosed) will not play in Friday's game against the Senators, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle skipped practice Thursday due to some stiffness and it appears the issue will prevent him from suiting up for Friday's game at a minimum. At this point, it's unclear if he will travel to Toronto for the second half of the back-to-back set, so consider him questionable, at best, to play in that contest.

Eberle was omitted from practice Thursday since he's dealing with stiffness, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

It sounds like Eberle was held off the ice for precautionary reasons, but the Islanders weren't able to provide an official update on the veteran winger. He's unofficially questionable for Friday's home game against the Senators.

Eberle scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's win over the Avalanche.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle hauled in a pass from Brock Nelson and ripped a shot past Semyon Varlamov to open scoring with less than two minutes left in the first period. He tacked on a power-play helper on Anders Lee's goal in the second period. The 28-year-old now has 15 points in 32 games, and he had four multi-point games to get there.

Eberle (undisclosed) is expected to play Wednesday against Vegas, NHL.com's Brian Compton reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle left Monday's 2-1 loss to the Penguins late in the third period due to an undisclosed injury, but he was never expected to be sidelined for long. The 28-year-old winger has struggled recently, going scoreless while posting a minus-3 rating in his last four appearances, so he'll be looking to find his scoring touch against the Golden Knights.

Eberle only has six goals and seven assists in 26 games so far this season.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle had a strong first season with the Islanders but his numbers have plummeted across the board in year two. At his current pace Eberle would be lucky to score 20 goals and reach the 40 point mark, numbers he has reached in every season with the exception of the lockout shortened 2012 campaign. Perhaps Eberle is thinking about his impending free agency and is worrying about whether or not the Islanders will trade him before the deadline in February.
