Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist in his first game since Feb. 19, but the Chicago Blackhawks lost in overtime 3-2 to the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night. Even after missing nearly two months with a concussion, the Hawks' captain showed no rust, scoring 4:04 into the game and assisting on Brent Seabrook's game-tying goal with 15 seconds left. Toews played 24:29 and finished with a plus-two rating with two shots. Patrick Kane had two helpers and Jonny Oduya added one. Seabrook and Kane each had seven shots on net. Chicago was thwarted on all four of its power plays.

The hope is that it would jolt what finished as the 25th-ranked unit. These guys combined for 27 of Chicago's 42 power-play goals. The second group was led by forwards Andrew Shaw, Marcus Kruger and Andrew Brunette, with defensemen Duncan Keith and Johnny Oduya.
