Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist in the Chicago Blackhawks' Game 6 win Monday night. Toews played Monday despite missing the third period of Game 5 with an upper-body injury. The Hawks' captain hasn't had the strongest postseason points-wise, but received far more criticism than he probably deserved. Toews was excellent in his own zone against Boston and had two goals and five total points in Games 3-5, all of which Chicago won. Toews also got to collect his second Stanley Cup only two months after his 25th birthday, which is a pretty impressive feat.

Jonathan Toews said that he's ready to go in Game 6 after sitting out the third period of Saturday's contest. "I feel great," Toews said. "That was just I think the coaches being cautious and not letting me get back on the ice in the third period the other night. We got to the point where I feel ready to go again. The way I felt out there (Monday), I'd say it was the best morning skate I've had all series. I feel great. I'm excited. There's no question about where I am physically." The Hawks captain has accounted for a goal and two assists in his past two games since being reunited with Patrick Kane and Bryan Bickell.

Jonathan Toews has confirmed that he'll be in the lineup for Game 6 Monday night. He informed reporters of the news after Chicago's morning skate. Toews took part in the session on his regular line between Patrick Kane and Bryan Bickell. He didn't play in the third period of Game 5 because of an upper-body injury. The Hawks can capture the Stanley Cup with a win Monday night.

Joel Quenneville said that he's "optimistic" that Jonathan Toews could play for the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 6 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final on Monday. Of course, plenty can change between Sunday and Monday. Toews was on the bench for the third period of Game 5, providing support for his teammates despite being held off the ice. It's not safe to assume what will happen one way or another, but his chances might be better than Patrice Bergeron's odds.

Jonathan Toews is dealing with an upper-body injury. Toews absorbed a hard hit by Boston's Johnny Boychuk. He was limited to just 12:56 minutes of playing time as a result. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville is hoping Toews will be available in Game 6.

Jonathan Toews didn't take a single shift in the first half of the third period. Toews remains on the bench, but is likely hurt. He already has two assists Saturday.

Jonathan Toews snapped his 10-game goal scoring slump. Toews scored just his second goal of the playoffs in Chicago's 6-5 overtime victory against Boston. That was a critical win as it evens the series at two games, but the Blackhawks need Toews to continue to produce. He has 10 points in the 2013 playoffs, compared to 29 points when Chicago won the Stanley Cup in 2010.

Jonathan Toews has now gone 10 games without a goal. The Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and now Boston Bruins have all seemed to have success shutting down Toews. He had 29 points in 22 games when the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010, but has just nine points in 20 contests in the 2013 playoffs.

Jonathan Toews was held scoreless again despite putting five shots on goal. Toews has had a nightmare of a time playing against Boston's top defensive pairing of Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg. When Toews does get past those two, he's been stopped at every turn by Tuukka Rask. It's been the same story for Toews for much of this postseason and the Chicago captain has just one goal in 20 postseason contests. If the Blackhawks plan to win this series, they'll need to find a way to get their top players going.

Jonathan Toews wasn't happy with how the Chicago Blackhawks responded to their strong first period in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. Chicago outshot Boston 19-4 over the first 20 minutes, although they ended up with just a one goal lead, due largely to Tuukka Rask's efforts. When you score a goal and are playing the way we were playing in the first, you need to find a way to sustain that and we didn't quite do that," said Toews. "I think we could have brought a little more physical play, but we were moving our feet. We were the aggressors early on in the game, and their physical play didn't really affect us too much. We just let them play their game and make the plays they wanted midway through the game and toward the end." Boston ended up winning 2-1 in overtime to rob Chicago of their home ice advantage and tie the series at 1-1 going into Game 3 in Boston.
