Jonathan Toews wasn't happy with how the Chicago Blackhawks responded to their strong first period in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Chicago outshot Boston 19-4 over the first 20 minutes, although they ended up with just a one goal lead, due largely to Tuukka Rask's efforts. When you score a goal and are playing the way we were playing in the first, you need to find a way to sustain that and we didn't quite do that," said Toews. "I think we could have brought a little more physical play, but we were moving our feet. We were the aggressors early on in the game, and their physical play didn't really affect us too much. We just let them play their game and make the plays they wanted midway through the game and toward the end." Boston ended up winning 2-1 in overtime to rob Chicago of their home ice advantage and tie the series at 1-1 going into Game 3 in Boston.
