Although Los Angeles finds itself in a 2-0 hole, not much of the deficit can be blamed on Quick. The 32-year-old has just allowed one regulation goal in each game, and sports an impressive .964 save percentage, including stopping 54 of 56 shots Friday during Game 2. The 32-year-old has certainly quieted any skeptics pointing to his disappointing .886 mark from the 2016-17 playoffs, but he'll need an uptick of offensive support if he wants to collect his first playoff victory of the season.

The 32-year-old backstop gave us a glimpse of the goalie that led Los Angeles to the its 2012 Stanley Cup. Through two games in the series, Quick has faced 84 shots and yielded just three goals -- a .964 save percentage -- but his fantasy value takes a hit with two losses.

Quick made 27 saves on 28 shots, but the one he let by was enough, as Vegas claimed a 1-0 decision in Game 1 on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Quick couldn't have been much better than he was Wednesday, with his one mistake being failing to see Shea Theodore's shot in the first four minutes of the game. If he's going to play like he did in the opener, his owners will be very happy with his performance, win or lose.

No surprises here, as Quick was always going to get the start for this game. The 32-year-old posted a .921 save percentage this season, which is his best since the 2011-12 campaign. However, this won't be a walk in the park, as the Golden Knights scored 3.56 goals per game at home, fourth highest in the NHL.

The Stars put just 18 shots on Quick for the entire game, and only two in the second period. But it was all they needed after jumping out to 4-0 lead thanks to Devin Shore and Jamie Benn's hat trick. The loss gives Quick 28 losses on the season, a career-high. Quick also allowed four goals for the second straight game, which would normally raise a few eyebrows, but Quick has proven numerous times that he can step up when the stakes are high. He is a proven playoff performer and may have a chance to upset the Knights in the first round.

Quick has had another strong campaign. Though his 2.37 GAA is his highest in five seasons, his .923 save percentage is his best in six seasons. Now he gets to end the year against a Stars team that has only scored 2.42 goals per game since the All-Star break.

Quick will patrol the crease in Thursday's home game against the Wild.

The American netminder will look to stay hot and snag his 33rd victory of the campaign in a matchup with a Minnesota team that's 17-20-2 on the road this season.
