Bernier is dealing with an illness, but is still expected to serve as the backup Friday against Florida, Elliott Teaford of the Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even if he is healthy enough to suit up, Bernier will not be between the pipes for Friday's clash with the Panthers, so unless he is called into the game, he won't offer up any fantasy value. If the netminder is unable to give it a go, Anaheim may opt to utilize an emergency goalie rather than a last second recall from AHL San Diego.

Bernier made 35 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Bernie is 2-1-1 with eight goals allowed in four games in 2017. He's the clear second fiddle to John Gibson and his value is restricted to that of a handcuff.

Bernier has gotten the nod to start against the Lightning on Saturday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
John Gibson started Friday, so Bernier gets the nod on the second of back-to-back nights. It's been a tough season for Bernier, who has a 2.89 GAA and a .902 save percentage.

Bernier saved 31 of 33 shots during Monday's win over Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
There have been a number of highs and lows for Bernier this season, and his .902 save percentage and 2.89 GAA certainly aren't impressive totals. Still, he's won eight of his 14 starts and is worth considering as a streaming option or low-priced flier in daily contests against favorable opponents. It's worth adding that with John Gibson rolling (8-1-2 with a .950 save percentage and 1.49 GAA through his pas 12 outings), Bernier is unlikely to steal too many starts from Gibson.

Bernier is on the ice for pregame warmups and will start Monday against the Jets, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier will be starting for the second straight game. He was yanked Saturday after allowing four goals on 20 shots to the Wild, so he'll obviously be shooting for a better outcome in Winnipeg. Through 18 appearances this season, Bernier has seven wins accompanied by subpar ratios (.899 save percentage, 2.95 GAA), and could have his work cut out for him again against a Jets squad that's fourth in the Western Conference with 2.82 goals per game.

Bernier allowed four goals on 20 shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss against the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier took over for the injured John Gibson (upper body) in the first period, and was sailing along until allowing three quick goals in a 1:59 span late in the third period. The veteran might be asked to start if Gibson is forced to the shelf, so he has some short-term fantasy appeal if he starts more frequently.

Bernier will man the goal posts for Saturday's road contest with the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has seen his fare share of struggles of late as he's gone 2-2-0 with a 4.53 GAA and .844 save percentage over his last seven appearances, a likely reason why he hasn't started a game since Dec. 20. The 28-year-old backstop figures to have a good opportunity to turn things around as he'll be facing a Yotes' lineup that averages 2.10 goals per game, 29th in the NHL.

Bernier gave up five goals on 34 shots and picked up two PIM during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
While there was no offensive support to speak of, Bernier's performance was shaky -- again. The netminder allowed four goals in his previous start before getting pulled, and in the month of December, the 28-year-old has given up a massive 22 tallies in just six appearances. That number is inflated due to eight goals allowed against Calgary, but he's struggling nonetheless.

Bernier will start between the pipes in Tuesday's road game against the Canadiens, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was shaky in his last start, surrendering four goals on 21 shots before being replaced by John Gibson for the third period of Saturday's 6-4 loss to Detroit. The 28-year-old netminder will look to bounce back and pick up his seventh win of the season in a tough road matchup with a Canadiens team averaging 3.61 goals per game at home this season, third in the NHL.

Bernier allowed four goals on 21 Detroit shots and was replaced by John Gibson for the third period.
EDGE Analysis
The Ducks were up 3-1 in the second when a Tomas Tatar shot went off the back boards and the side of the net before going in off the back of Bernier's leg. The momentum flipped at that point and the Wings scored the next three goals in short order. The boards at Joe Louis Arena are notoriously springy and Bernier just wasn't expecting it to bounce back like that. The game ended 6-4, but the loss was Gibson's.
