Gaudreau recorded two assists for his second consecutive multi-point game Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old winger didn't explode out of the gate, but he's in fine form now. For the year, Gaudreau is up to two goals and five assists through nine games and should continue to produce close to a point-per-game pace going forward.

Gaudreau scored a goal -- his second of the season -- and chipped in an assist in a 4-1 win over the Blues on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
It'd be a stretch to say that Gaudreau is officially heating up (at least by his standards), but with four points over his last five games, things are slowly coming together for the 23-year-old star. He is, however, sitting with an unsightly minus-6 rating thanks to a minus-4 showing a couple games back and a minus-3 in the season opener, so he's been a bit of a liability in that regard. Couple that with Gaudreau's lone point on the power play this year, also, and there's plenty of room for improvement.

Gaudreau set up the overtime-winning goal Tuesday as the Flames beat Buffalo by a score of 4-3.
EDGE Analysis
Johnny Hockey grabbed the primary helper on Sean Monahan's snipe in the extra frame, giving him his second point of the young campaign. Much was made of Gaudreau's training camp holdout and his new deal worth $6.75 million per year, and with only a couple of assists in four games, fantasy owners and Flames fans alike are hoping the diminutive winger gets it going soon. He will, of course, as he's capable of going off for consecutive multi-point games and already has 12 shots on goal.

Gaudreau signed a six-year contract extension with the Flames, commanding an average of $6.75 million annually, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnny Hockey was tendered a qualifying offer as a restricted free agent in late June, only to finally put pen to paper on a new deal just two days before the Flames' season opener against the Oilers in Edmonton. The stud playmaker's new contract is similar to that procured by Anaheim's Ryan Kesler this summer, in terms of length and total value. As you would expect, Gaudreau will line up on the top line and first power-play unit this season after finishing with career highs a season ago (30 goals, 48 assists, and a whopping 217 shots on goal). He's worthy of a first-round selection in most fantasy formats.

Gaudreau registered a pair of goals and two more assists while representing Team North America for the World Cup of Hockey.
EDGE Analysis
Gaudreau's four points in three games put him at a tie with defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere for the team lead. The 2016-17 campaign is less than two weeks away, yet the perennial fantasy stud remains a restricted free agent since his three-year, entry-level deal from Calgary has expired. As noted in a report by The Buffalo News, Johnny Hockey will not be skating until a new contract is in place.

Gaudreau scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over Team Sweden.
EDGE Analysis
The flashy New Jersey native now has points (four total) in all three World Cup contests to date for the young North Americans. Gaudreau has also recorded a tidy plus-2 rating and 10 shots on goal, so he's clearly comfortable playing on this stage. Look for him to continue to light it up if North America advances to the semifinals, which can only be made possible if Finland beats Russia on Thursday afternoon.

Gaudreau was extended a qualifying offer by the Flames on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gaudreau avoided the sophomore slump by racking up an astonishing 30 goals and 48 helpers this season. Calgary is likely extending the offer as a formality and will look to lock up Johnny Hockey to a long-term deal as quickly as possible. One of the top young talents in the league, fantasy owners will certainly want to snatch up the 22-year-old, perhaps sooner rather than later.

Gaudreau notched a power-play helper and two PIM in Thursday's 7-3 win over Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Gaudreau is really pushing for his first 80-point season, as the winger is sitting just two shy with one game left on the schedule. The 22-year-old has two tallies and three helpers in his last three, and has truly blossomed into a star for the Flames. The 2011 fourth-round pick has equaled last year's 21 points on the power play, which shows he remains a threat on the man advantage, especially seeing close to four minutes on ice in those situations.

Gaudreau scored twice and fired five shots on goal in Saturday's win over Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
With the two goals, the 22-year-old hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his NHL career. Gaudreau has had a fantastic season, recording 75 points in 76 games. The Flames are out of playoff contention, but Gaudreau has scored four goals in his last six games, so keep him rolling.

Gaudreau was quiet in his return from a two-game injury absence Thursday, taking two shots on goal in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
He skated 18:14, but they weren't particularly impactful minutes, especially coming from one of the NHL's leading point producers. Gaudreau has been everything the Flames could possibly want from him in his sophomore year -- an offensive dynamo who racks up power-play points and is surprisingly adept at keeping the puck out of his own goal at even strength. That he holds a positive rating for a Flames team in possession of a minus-38 goal differential pretty much tells the whole story. If this team can get a reliable goalie and do a better job of surrounding Gaudreau with complementary talent, it's not unreasonable to imagine him one day winning an Art Ross Trophy.
