Gaudreau was fined $2,000 for embellishment Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Johnny Hockey has broken the embellishment rule twice now, having gotten off with a warning the first time, which reportedly transpired in a Dec. 23 contest against the Canucks with the second offense taking place this past Sunday versus the Islanders. If Gaudreau keeps up the diving antics -- which is hockey's version of flopping -- it'll result in a slightly lighter wallet, but fantasy owners shouldn't worry since it won't cost the star player any games. The stud skater fashioned a four-point effort in Thursday's home game against the Habs, remaining one of the league's best from the left wing.

Gaudreau scored a goal and dished out three helpers Thursday against the Canadiens.

EDGE Analysis

Gaudreau assisted on all three of his team's second-period goals, with the last two coming just 26 seconds apart. He completed his four-point night by capping a 5-0 win with his 14th goal of the season in the third. With three goals, five assists and a plus-10 rating in his past five games, Gaudreau has done his best to atone for a slow start.

Gaudreau continued his hot streak Sunday, recording two goals and an assist in a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes.

EDGE Analysis

That's now two goals and eight points for "Johnny Hockey" in his last four contests, but Gaudreau has been extremely streaky this season. Prior to this run, he went pointless in four straight, and before that, he had a six-game point streak. In December, he recorded four goals and 14 points, but then in January, he only had two goals and six points. At this point, owners have probably learned to live with the inconsistencies, and at least for the moment, he's playing extremely well.

Gaudreau dished out four helpers in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Predators.

EDGE Analysis

All four of Gaudreau's assists came at even strength, with the final once helping Mark Giordano seal the victory 43 seconds into overtime. The baby-faced winger has scored just one goal in his past 20 games, but he does have 12 helpers over that span. He's converting on just 8.0 percent of his shots this season after coming in with a career shooting percentage of 14.3 percent.

After spending time on the Flames' fourth line on Monday, Johnny Hockey was back in the thick of things, leading the team with 21:38 of ice time in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Philadelphia.

EDGE Analysis

Gaudreau had been demoted to the fourth line by coach Glen Gultzan following a 5-0 loss to Arizona in which he had been taking long shifts leading to mental mistakes and a critical turnover. He was held off the scoresheet against the Flyers, but should continue to be a pivotal player in Calgary's playoff push.

Gaudreau scored the overtime winner and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over Ottawa.

EDGE Analysis

Gaudreau broke an 11-game goal drought to win it with 31 seconds left in overtime. He also recorded a much-needed plus-2 rating after going minus-7 over his previous four contests. This has been a disappointing campaign for the 23-year-old, as he's on pace to finish with fewer than 60 points after recording 78 last season.

Gaudreau briefly left Monday night's shutout loss to the Maple Leafs but was able to return later in the game after clearing concussion protocol, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.

EDGE Analysis

Gaudreau was hit by the Leafs' Leo Komarov while making a backhand pass from his own left wing boards. Despite leaving the game, Gaudreau still managed to play over 20 minutes, including 5:51 of power-play time on ice. The former Boston College standout has now gone pointless in 11 of his last 16 games.

Gaudreau has just three points in his last 10 games dating back to Dec. 29.

EDGE Analysis

Johnny Hockey is still getting his regular allotment of ice time (19:30) and power-play time (3:17) -- and has fired a healthy 26 shots on goal -- during that span, but the points just haven't been coming. Due to the drought, Gaudreau is stuck on just 28 points in 37 games, which is a disappointing 82-game pace of 62 after he reeled off 78 last year. However, he's one of the most electrifying, streaky players in the game and is capable of going off on a scoring binge at any time, so we wouldn't be surprised if he finishes with 70-plus points by season's end.

Gaudreau exploded for two goals on six shots and an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over Colorado.

EDGE Analysis

He was also on the ice for all three of Colorado's goals, leaving the winger with an even rating. Still, after breaking up his seven-game post-IR point streak with a pair of scoreless efforts, Gaudreau got right back on the horse, which is just what fantasy owners expect of him as one of the league's brightest young stars.

Gaudreau went six straight games with a power-play assist between Dec. 6 and Dec. 19.

EDGE Analysis

That wasn't all Johnny Hockey did in that stretch, as he also tacked on a goal and two more even-strength assists. This was particularly impressive because he had just come back from a finger injury that erased 10 games from his schedule. All of the big-name forwards in Calgary are struggling defensively and Gaudreau is no exception at minus-11, but that's trivial when you look at everything he does with the puck.
