Rookie Jimmy Hayes is expected to make his NHL debut Friday when the Blackhawks play the Detroit Red Wings for the first time this season. Hayes is six foot, six inches and 233 pounds, so he is definitely a physical presence out there. He had five goals and 18 points in 28 games with Rockford of the AHL. The Blackhawks got him from the Maple Leafs during the 2010 Draft as they dealt their 43rd overall pick which the Leafs used to take Bradley Ross. Jimmy Hayes has been recalled by the Chicago Blackhawks. He has registered five goals and 13 assists in 28 contests with Rockford in the AHL this year. Hayes is still waiting to make his NHL debut.
