Pageau lit the lamp on two shots and tacked on four hits during Sunday's 2-0 win against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau has been hit or miss this year -- mostly miss -- but still has two goals in five games. However, the 24-year-old has just one multi-point outing this season and has far too many pointless streaks to trust. As long as he remains in the bottom six, the 2011 fourth-round pick will produce few and far between. Pageau sits at three markers and three apples in 22 appearances.

Pageau scored his first goal since Oct. 25 in Ottawa's 4-1 loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Twelve games is a long time to go between goals. Pageau does have three points in his last five games and 20 shots in that span. He is scuffling this season relative to his growth last year (19 goals, 24 assists). Pageau needs to prove more before we're rostering him.

Pageau recorded two third-period assists during a win over the Kings on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After posting a 43-point season last year, Pageau has only notched a goal and three helpers through the first 14 games of 2016-17. While his multi-point game Friday is a step in the right direction, the 23-year-old pivot doesn't receive power-play time and is clearly behind Kyle Turris and Derick Brassard up the middle. Keep expectations in check with Pageau moving forward.

Pageau netted his first goal of the season into an empty net in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
He also won eight of 10 faceoffs, but didn't show much of his trademark physicality, picking up just one hit -- the third straight game that's happened. Pageau blew up for 19 goals and 43 points last year, but similar production will be hard to come by this time around as long as Kyle Turris (who missed significant time last year) and Derick Brassard remain healthy, as they're ahead of the tough center on the depth chart.

Pageau took one shot and blocked two in 14:57 of ice time during Wednesday's 5-4 overtime victory against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau is stuck in an uninspiring bottom-six role, as the surrounding talent is a significant downgrade when comparing to the likes of Mike Hoffman, Mark Stone and friends. The 23-year-old saw increased opportunity last year due to Kyle Turris suffering a season-ending injury, but with the top-line center back in action, Pageau may struggle to accumulate consistent production. The 2011 fourth-round pick is a definite hold for now, as he excelled with more ice time in 2015-16, notching 19 goals and 24 assists, easily career highs.

Pageau finished his 2015-16 campaign with career highs across the board -- 19 goals, 24 helpers, 26 PIM and a plus-17 rating in 82 games.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau's 43 points on the year included nine in a shorthanded situation (seven tallies), which is spectacular, especially considering the Sens continuously failed to capitalize on the power play during the season. The 23-year-old cemented himself on the first line, and it may be tough to unseat the 2011 fourth-round pick barring a step back in production next year. It remains to be seen who will be chosen as the new head coach for Ottawa, which could end up being instrumental in the development of Pageau and other young talent.

Pageau had two shorthanded points Saturday -- a goal and assist -- to go along with a plus-3 rating and five hits in a 6-1 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau has been masterful in shorthanded situations, tying the franchise record with seven goals down a man. The 23-year-old has had two multi-point outings down the stretch, boosting the center to 43 points to end the season (also a plus-17 rating). There are no complaints about the 2011 fourth-round pick, as he's made a big jump this campaign and looks to be a solid asset for Ottawa moving forward.

Pageau had a big game Thursday, finding twine and notching two helpers in a 3-2 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau registered his third multi-point outing of the month to finish out March in impressive fashion. The 23-year-old made a huge jump this campaign, as he is now at 40 points on the year -- 21 more than last season. Additionally, the center sports a plus-15 rating, which altogether paints a bright future for the 2011 fourth-round pick.

Pageau notched an assist and two hits in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau has started a trend this month, reaching the scoresheet and then going pointless in two straight. Well, Saturday was the 23-year-old's turn to get on the board, registering assist No. 20 on the year. The center has 21 points in February and March combined, all the more impressive considering he had just 16 before the All-Star break.

Pageau notched a shorthanded goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-0 win against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau leads the league with six shorthanded markers on the year, which proves he's a threat when down a man. Showing promise in his fourth season with Ottawa, the 23-year-old has three goals in a month for the fifth time this campaign and has a chance to hit 40 points for the first time in his career. Across the board, Pageau has elevated his game and the first line is living large with the center at the helm.
