Pageau scored a goal on two shots and had three hits in Monday's 4-0 win over Philadelphia in Game 1.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau was left all alone in front of the net early in the third period, and he converted a Leo Komarov centering feed to give the Islanders a 2-0 lead. After scoring a career-high 26 goals during the regular season, the trade deadline acquisition from Ottawa has added five more tallies in 10 postseason games.

Pageau scored a goal on a team-leading five shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Washington in Game 4. He also provided three hits and two PIM.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau got the Islanders on the board with a hustle play less than four minutes into the game. He initiated the sequence with a strong forecheck and puck retrieval behind the Washington net, the headed in front where he was able to deflect a Scott Mayfield point shot. It was Pageau's fourth goal of the postseason, tying him for the team lead, but his first of the series. He has six points through eight games overall.

Pageau had two assists and four hits in Friday's 5-2 win over the Capitals in Game 2.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau assisted on a pair of third-period markers from Cal Clutterbuck and Anders Lee. Through six playoff games, Pageau has provided a mix of offense and physicality with five points, 16 hits and a plus-5 rating. After Friday's performance, Pageau has 21 points in 41 career postseason games. DFS managers could do worse when filling out the depth portion of their rosters.

Pageau scored a goal and went 8-for-10 on face-offs Saturday in a 2-1 win over Florida in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau has 13 goals in 36 NHL postseason games and always seems to elevate his game in the playoffs. He gave the Isles a 1-0 lead with a sweet redirection on a cross-ice pass from Derick Brassard.

Pageau scored goals in his first two games for the Islanders but has since gone five straight without lighting the lamp.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders paid a heavy price when they acquired Pageau from Ottawa for first and second-round picks. A price that many considered way to high at the time of the trade and will only look worse if the season isn't resumed or if the Islanders don't qualify for the playoffs. The good news is that Pageau did sign a six-year $30 million contract with the club and does solidify the Islanders up the middle but it's yet another heavy contract for a player that isn't a star and doesn't have a proven track record of performing.

Pageau scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau, a trade deadline pickup from Ottawa, has now scored in each of his first two games with New York. His power-play goal Thursday opened the scoring 8:20 into the game and was his 26th tally of the season, extending his career high. Pageau, who signed a long-term extension with the Islanders immediately following the trade, needs one more point to match his career high of 43 set in 2015-16.

Pageau was able to complete all the necessary paperwork and join the lineup for the Islanders versus the Rangers on Tuesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders' prized trade-deadline addition will have Michael Dal Colle and Josh Bailey flanking him on the third line. Pageau was having a career year for the Senators before the trade, mainly because of a 17.8 shooting percentage. That number is seven ticks higher than his career average and seems likely to regress.

Pageau may not be able to play Tuesday versus the Rangers, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pageau is on his way to New York but general manager Lou Lamoriello stated that work visas still need to be acquired before he can play. If those visas aren't ready before game time Tuesday than Pageau would likely make his debut with the Islanders on Thursday in St. Louis. It's also unknown at this time which line Pageau will center and who his linemates will be. Coach Barry Trotz is likely to mix and match several lines until he finds the right chemistry.

Pageau signed a six-year contract extension worth $5 million annually with the Islanders on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders acquired Pageau from the Senators for a 2020 conditional first-round pick, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2022 conditional third-round pick Monday, but the center won't be a rental after inking a long-term deal on Long Island. Pageau will register career highs across all notable categories this year, as he's already racked up 24 goals and 40 points through 60 games. The 27-year-old is expected to center a middle-six line as the Islanders make a playoff push.

Pageau was brought in by the Islanders from the Senators on Monday in a swap for a 2020 conditional first-round pick, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2022 conditional third-round pick, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. The third-round pick will only transfer to Ottawa if the Islanders win the Stanley Cup this year.
EDGE Analysis
With 24 goals and 16 helpers in 60 games this year, Pageau was one of the top targets on the market and is headed for Long Island. The center could challenge Brock Nelson for a spot on the second line and could even push for a first-line role. In addition, Pageau should be in the mix for the No. 1 power-play unit given that nine of his 40 points this year have come with the man advantage.
