Jakub Voracek may undergo a baseline test Thursday after he was nailed on a huge hit by Detroit's Niklas Kronwall on Tuesday night.
He passed a less-detailed concussion exam on Tuesday, but isn't sure if he's out of the water yet. "I don't want to say I feel too good, because every day is different," said Voracek. "Hopefully, I can get back as soon as possible." He may not have a concussion, but what we do know for now is that he has a stiff neck and he required stitches in his mouth following the collision.

Jakub Voracek was hurt during Tuesday's win over Detroit after taking a big hit from defenseman Niklas Kronwall.
He registered his 12th goal of the year and played 9:31 of ice time prior to exiting the contest. Voracek required stitches in his upper and lower mouth and the Flyers said he will be reevaluated on Wednesday. For the time being, we'll call him day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Jakub Voracek took part in Thursday's skate without limitations and could return against Buffalo.
"I'm not used to missing games," he said. "Hopefully I'll go tonight. If it's not going to be tonight, it'll be Saturday. We'll see." Voracek missed Sunday's game with an upper-body injury, but he appears to be likely to return.

Jakub Voracek (upper body) participated in Wednesday's practice in a no-contact capacity, but he isn't ruling out a return on Thursday.
He said he has felt better each day and could end up being a game-time decision against Buffalo. Voracek didn't play Sunday after he sustained an upper-body injury versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Jakub Voracek left Saturday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return.
Voracek missed the third period in Saturday's lost against the New York Rangers and is questionable for Sunday's contest in Detroit. However, he did travel with the team to Detroit.

Jakub Voracek will be a restricted free agent at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.
His agent, Petr Svoboda, had a talk with Flyers GM Paul Holmgren on Wednesday, but it doesn't appear as though an extension is imminent. Voracek is making $2.25 million this season, but that number is projected to increase when the time comes. The 22-year-old forward has seven goals and 20 assists in 44 games, which is on pace to match his previous career-high of 50 points. Svoboda also represents veteran Jaromir Jagr, but a decision on his future won't come until after the year when he reexamines how he feels.

Jakub Voracek was clearly motivated for Saturday's game against his former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He notched a goal and two assists in a 9-2 blowout win for the home side. Voracek's marker was his third of the year and it snapped a 10-game drought. He was acquired from the Jackets as part of the Jeff Carter deal and enjoyed his most productive game of the season against the team that drafted him seventh overall in 2007.

Jakub Voracek feels like he is more accustomed to being a Philadelphia Flyer now.
"I'd say that for the first seven or eight games of the season, I was lost," he said on Wednesday. "I think now, I'm finally at the level of playing where I want to be, where I am comfortable and not trying to think too much. I've never been through anything like that before, having to fit in on a new team. I was trying to make too much happen." He has notched two goals and four assists in 12 games this season, but coach Peter Laviolette is confident that the 22-year-old winger is capable of being much better.
