Oettinger allowed two goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger wasn't at his best Thursday, but the Stars were able to protect a lead throughout the third period. The 22-year-old improved to 5-0-0 with a 1.41 GAA and a .951 save percentage in six games overall. No goalie is as good as those numbers suggest, but the Stars are playing some sound hockey during a six-game winning streak. Per Saad Yousuf of The Athletic, head coach Rick Bowness intends to split the workload in goal between Oettinger and Braden Holtby going forward. Each goalie is expected to play twice next week, and both have been solid, so fantasy managers can't really go wrong with either one at this point.

Oettinger will defend the blue paint during Thursday's home game versus the Blue Jackets, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger has been red hot recently, stringing together three straight wins while posting an eye-popping 1.04 GAA and .967 save percentage. The 22-year-old netminder will try to secure his fifth victory of the year in a home matchup with a Columbus club that's 4-5-0 on the road this season.

Oettinger allowed a goal on 33 shots in Friday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger left the game in the second period after a collision, but he checked out fine and returned for the third. Cale Makar struck late in the final frame, but Oettinger was able to hold off the Avalanche in the end. The 22-year-old netminder has won all four of his starts this season, and he's allowed just five goals in five appearances overall. With Braden Holtby (lower body) healthy and Anton Khudobin in the mix, Oettinger will have to continue to be sharp to maintain his playing time. He's unlikely to start Saturday against the Coyotes, so Oettinger's next game would likely be another tough challenge Tuesday versus the Hurricanes. Despite the difficult matchups, the 22-year-old is proving he probably should have started the year in the NHL -- he's worth an add in virtual all fantasy formats as long as he continues to play well.

Oettinger is in the starter's crease for Friday's skate, suggesting he'll get the nod at home against the Avalanche in the evening, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger getting the start suggests Braden Holtby (lower body) still isn't ready to return. The 22-year-old youngster was extremely sharp in his last outing Tuesday, limiting the Oilers to one goal while holding Connor McDavid without a point for the first time all season. Things don't get any easier for Oettinger here, as the visiting Avalanche lead the league with 4.06 goals per game.

Oettinger made 21 saves on 22 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger played well for a third straight start, and he was rewarded with his third win of the season. He was able to limit the Oilers' dynamic duo of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid to just a single assist, snapping the latter's season-opening point streak. Oettinger has allowed just four goals on 68 shots so far, and he should continue to see playing time while he's with the big club.

Oettinger was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and will start Tuesday against visiting Edmonton, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old has been brilliant in a pair of starts over the last week, turning aside 63 of 66 shots in wins over Detroit and St. Louis. The Oilers are a completely different animal, however, with their pair of superstars Connor McDavid (35 points) and Leon Draisaitl (32) currently sitting No. 1 and No. 2 in league scoring.

Oettinger made 35 saves in a 4-1 win over St. Louis on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
His coach was more than impressed with his dominance. "[Oettinger] was great," head coach Rick Bowness said. "He was really, really good. He's eating the puck and reading the plays really, really well. No rebounds and swallowing the puck when he had to. He reads the play really well and his anticipation is really good. He was outstanding." Oettinger has been nothing short of excellent since called up.

Oettinger will guard the home goal during Saturday's matchup with the Blues, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger played well in his season debut Tuesday against the Red Wings, turning aside 28 of 30 shots en route to a 5-2 victory. The 22-year-old backstop will try to secure his second win of the year in a home matchup with a St. Louis squad that's 5-2-1 on the road this season.

Oettinger stopped 28 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger was solid in his second debut save for a 5:30 stretch in the second period where the Red Wings scored twice. The 22-year-old was excellent as a rookie last season, logging an 11-8-7 record with a 2.36 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 29 games, but the Stars' signing of Braden Holtby (lower body) over the summer has stuck Oettinger with AHL Texas. His stay on the big club's roster is expected to be short, so he'll only be a streaming option in redraft formats if he receives another start.

Oettinger will defend the blue paint during Tuesday's home game versus Detroit, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger will be making his season debut against the Red Wings. The 22-year-old netminder has been decent in the minors this campaign, going 4-5-2 while posting a 2.62 GAA and .913 save percentage. Oettinger will try to secure his 12th career NHL victory in a home matchup with a Detroit team that's averaging 2.75 goals per game on the road this year, 15th in the NHL.
