Allen stopped 40 of 42 shots in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
This loss is not on Allen -- he played well under a lot of pressure from the Canucks, but the Canadiens couldn't cover the damage. The 31-year-old slipped to 5-10-1 with a 2.96 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 17 contests. Allen's time as the No. 1 goalie for the Habs is not yet close to ending, as Carey Price (knee) hasn't returned to full-team practice sessions. A tough test awaits for Allen assuming he starts Thursday against the surging Avalanche.

Allen will guard the cage for Monday's home tilt with the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Allen is 2-3-1 over his last seven appearances with a disappointing 3.66 GAA and .886 save percentage. However, he's coming off an impressive 47-save victory over the Penguins on Saturday. The veteran netminder owns an .896 save percentage at home this season.

Allen stopped 47 shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Pittsburgh threw everything but the kitchen sink at Allen, but the 31-year-old kept the Pens off the scoreboard until a wild third period that saw eight of the game's nine goals find the back of the net. The 47 saves established a new season high for Allen, topping the 45 he made in a shutout win over the Sharks in late October, but Allen has only a 3.02 GAA and .902 save percentage on the season.

Allen will start Saturday's game in Pittsburgh, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen will watch Samuel Montembeault take the first leg of the team's back-to-back set Friday in Buffalo before entering the crease Saturday. In 15 starts this season, Allen has produced a 4-9-1 record, 3.02 GAA and .898 save percentage, so you're better off looking for an alternative option in net if possible.

Allen (concussion) returned to action Wednesday and made 28 saves in a 6-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
He missed four games after sustaining the concussion Nov. 13 in a game against the Red Wings. Allen and the Habs were in tough against the roaring Caps, which are 7-1-1 in their past nine. If you rely on Allen, go ahead and activate him. But the issues faced by the Canadiens seem to have no end in sight, so it's likely better to look elsewhere for your goalie points.

Allen (concussion) will start Wednesday against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
This is fantastic news for the 31-year-old, who's been forced to sit out the last four games after sustaining the injury in Detroit on Nov. 13. Allen will have his work cut out for him against a Washington team that sits third overall with 64 goals for this season.

Allen (concussion) skated Monday but has not yet been cleared to play versus Washington on Wednesday, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen went 1-2-1 in his previous five outings, along with a 3.24 GAA, prior to suffering his concussion. With Carey Price (knee) still sidelined, the 31-year-old Allen figures to take over as the No. 1 option between the pipes once given the all-clear.

Allen (concussion) won't play in Saturday's game versus the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was doubtful coming into Saturday's contest, as he only returned to practice Thursday. The 31-year-old netminder will have until Wednesday to get ready for the Canadiens' next game versus the Capitals.

Allen (concussion) is doubtful to play Saturday against visiting Nashville, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday would mark the fourth straight game Allen has missed with the concussion. Cayden Primeau and Samuel Montembeault figure to hold down the Canadiens' crease while Allen and Carey Price (knee) remain out.

Allen (concussion) skated Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's safe to assume Allen, who's recovering from a concussion, won't be available for Thursday's game versus Pittsburgh, but he could be ready to return sooner rather than later. In the meantime, Samuel Montembeault and Cayden Primeau will continue to carry the load for the Canadiens.
