Allen (lower body) left Wednesday's game versus the Bruins after allowing two goals on seven shots, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports.

Allen appeared to get hurt on the first goal, and he quickly gave up a second before exiting the game. Samuel Montembeault replaced Allen in goal. Allen had missed the Canadiens' previous three games while in the COVID-19 protocols, and he hadn't played at all since Dec. 14. An update on his status should be available prior to Thursday's game versus the Blackhawks. If he can't suit up, the Canadiens would likely need to recall a goalie.
