Josefson made a crisp pass to set up Travis Zajac's second-period goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win against the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Josefson flashed the offensive skill that we've seen very little of in his career, finding Zajac on a two-on-one break to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. He skated 13:52, was a plus-1 and won 5-of-9 faceoffs. Josefson is getting consistent work on special teams with 2:26 on the man advantage and 2:18 on the kill. He's still finding his way in an increased role this season, but showed his potential Tuesday. It's may be wise to add him to your watch list in deeper leagues.

Josefson assisted on the Devils' lone goal, his first point of the season, in Tuesday's loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Josefson got the secondary assist on Kyle Palmieri's power-play goal late in the third period. The former first-round pick has much to prove in his sixth season in New Jersey. Josefson skated 16:28, including 2:05 on the man advantage while finishing minus-1 on the night. There's plenty of opportunity for playing time on the Devils, so if Josefson can continue to produce, he could be worth a pick up in deeper leagues.

Josefson was the only man to beat either goalie Tuesday in a 2-0 win over Pittsburgh. His fifth goal of the year came against Penguins backup Thomas Greiss, and the game's only other goal was Adam Henrique's empty-netter. Josefson now owns a quite modest 10 points in 50 games on the season, which actually ties his career high. At 24 years old, he may have some upside yet, but it may be that he'll need a change of scenery before he realizes it, as New Jersey has not been a very productive place for him.

Josefson picked up an assist in Friday's loss to the Bruins. Since returning from injured reserve Jan. 19 with a two-point performance against the Sharks, Josefson has needed 15 games just to match that output. His presence as the Devils' center on the checking line will continue to inhibit his offense.

Josefsen potted a goal -- a shorthanded tally -- and dished out an assist in 10:42 of ice time as the Devils downed the Sharks 5-2 on Monday. The points bring his season total from three to five in 27 games this year, suggesting that the mini-outburst is more of a one-off than an indication of an upward trend for the fifth-year NHLer.

Josefson (illness) was activated from injured reserve Friday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. The activation more than likely indicates that Josefson will rejoin the lineup Friday against the Islanders after missing the previous six games. He's expected to center the checking line for the Devils.

Josefson (illness) will remain out of the lineup Thursday against the Bruins, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Though Josefson has resumed practicing with the team and was cleared by GM Lou Lamoriello to return to action, it appears the Devils will just exercise some precaution in holding him out an extra day. Since the team is beginning a back-to-back set Thursday, look for Josefson to check into the lineup to spell another player Friday against the Islanders.

Josefson (illness) will be available for Thursday's game against the Bruins, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Josefson has missed the previous five games with the illness, but looks to be ready to play after he took part in the Devils' team skate Tuesday morning. All that's left is for the Devils to formally activate him from IR, which should come at some point Thursday morning or afternoon.

Josefson (illness) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Sabres, Rich Chere of The Star-Ledger reports. Josefson will miss his fifth straight game Tuesday, but he was able to take part in line rushes during the Devils' morning skate, so he could return to action for the Devils' next game Thursday.

Josefson (illness) will likely miss Tuesday's game against the Sabres, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Josefson is eligible to return for the injured reserve at any time, but it appears he is not quite ready to return from an illness that has sidelined the 23-year-old since the end of December. He did practice on Monday though, so a return Thursday against the Bruins is possible.
