Matier produced 13 goals and 49 points in 58 games with OHL Ottawa during the 2022-23 season. He also notched three goals and three assists in 11 playoff outings this campaign with the 67's. The Predators selected the 20-year-old blueliner in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Matier inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Predators on Monday.

Matier was selected by the organization in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The young blueliner will spend the year playing in juniors with OHL Ottawa for which he previously notched nine assists in 56 games back in 2019-20. Matier hasn't shown much of an offensive upside in his game and can probably be passed over even in dynasty formats.
