Matier inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Predators on Monday.

Matier was selected by the organization in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The young blueliner will spend the year playing in juniors with OHL Ottawa for which he previously notched nine assists in 56 games back in 2019-20. Matier hasn't shown much of an offensive upside in his game and can probably be passed over even in dynasty formats.
