Eichel failed to register a point but skated 20:35 and tied with Evander Kane to lead the team with six shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel has not been able to light the lamp in his past three games despite registering 14 shots. However, he's played over 20 minutes in back-to-back games, the first time he's done so since returning from a high-ankle sprain, indicating the amount of confidence head coach Dan Bylsma has in the second-year pro. Eichel has five goals and eight points in 10 games, and at this rate is still on pace for 30 goals. He's a must-start every night as one of the league's top young players, and should be able to generate a lot of scoring chances against Carolina on Thursday.

Eichel scored two goals and assisted on another in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
He consistently had Kyle Okposo on his right wing, but saw time with both Matt Moulson (who assisted on both his goals) and Evander Kane (whose goal Eichel assisted) during this game. The 20-year-old phenom is up to eight points in seven games since returning; every time he has the puck, it's must-see TV.

Eichel will be centering Evander Kane and Kyle Okposo when the Sabres host the Kings on Tuesday, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a 4-1 loss to Washington on Friday, head coach Dan Bylsma shuffled up the lines in an effort to spark some offense. Eichel flew right out of the gates with three goals in his first two games since returning from a high-ankle sprain, but has recorded just one assist in four games since then. Okposo is the team's leading scorer and Kane is a fearsome power forward, and the hope is that the trio can generate offense and with their size and skill against a very physical Kings team. Okposo is excellent down low and Kane drives the net very well, so it should open up a little more space and opportunities for Eichel to shoot. He has an excellent wrist shot but registered just two shots on goal against the Caps. Whether or not this arrangement will be long-term remains to be seen, but the Sabres have obviously elected to stack Eichel's line, leaving Ryan O'Reilly with William Carrier and Sam Reinhart as his wingers.

Eichel is ready to go for Tuesday's clash against the Oilers after it looked like he aggravated his high-ankle sprain Monday against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
He looked like he was in a lot of pain on the bench after tweaking his ankle, but returned to finish the game on Monday and finished with 18:31 of ice time. The Sabres didn't have a skate Tuesday morning because they're playing back-to-back, but have made Eichel officially available as he goes head-to-head against Connor McDavid. High-ankle sprains are tough injuries to come back from, and given Eichel's triumphant return with three goals in four games, it would've been a big blow had he suffered a setback.

Eichel scored a pair of third-period goals -- one on the power play -- 1:43 apart Thursday, turning a 3-2 deficit into a 4-3 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
If his first two games back from injury are any indication, Eichel spent the last two months chomping at the bit on the sidelines; now that he's finally been unleashed, he's immediately jumped right into terrorizing opposing defenses and goaltenders. There's no doubt that he has the talent to be one of the top few players in the NHL, and his return seems to have energized the Sabres, who have instantly started looking more confident on the ice. The next step is showing staying power -- Eichel went through a number of quiet patches last year, so he'll need to show us some consistency before he can be considered a true star of the league.

In his first game this season, Eichel registered two power-play points -- a tally and assist -- to go along with five shots on goal and two PIM during Tuesday's 5-4 win against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Well, that didn't take long. The superstar suffered a high-ankle sprain in October and owners have been itching for Eichel to get back on the ice. The 20-year-old wasted no time making an impact, notching both his points in the first period to help put Buffalo up 2-0. To put it simply, the 2015 No. 2 pick is an immediate must-start, with Tuesday's performance just a glimpse of the center's prospects for the remainder of the year. In his rookie campaign, Eichel registered a cool 24 goals and 32 helpers -- 21 points on the power play -- to showcase his exceptional talent.

As expected, Eichel (ankle) will make his season debut Tuesday night against the Senators, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's activation figures to be a huge boon for the Sabres, a team currently dwelling in the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings with a 7-9-5 record. The 2015 Hobey Baker Award winner is projected to serve as the second-line center with Evander Kane and Sam Reinhart on the wings, and fantasy owners shouldn't be surprised to learn that he'll also man the top-power play unit. Eichel produced 56 points (24 goals and 32 assists) in 81 games as a rookie last season, and he should be a no-brainer for plugging back into fantasy lineups abound.

Eichel will travel to Ottawa on Tuesday and he's expected to make his season debut, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he hasn't been officially activated off the injured reserve, Eichel was a full participant at Monday's practice, and it's been six weeks since his injury. "He looks good to me," said head coach Dan Bylsma. Eichel's ready to jump right back into action, and he'll center the top power-play unit with Evander Kane on the left and Sam Reinhart on the right. The Sabres are struggling on offense with just two goals in their past two games, and having Eichel back will give them a huge boost. He averaged 19:07 TOI per game last year and should hover around that number this year -- there's no reason to believe the Sabres will ease him into the lineup. Eichel finished the previous season with 15 points in his final 17 games and is a top-flight player in keeper leagues. Fantasy owners should make roster moves and prepare to play him Tuesday.

Eichel (ankle) is practicing fully Monday, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The center was practicing with the top power play lines, and it seems like he'll be playing major minutes when he jumps back in, which could be as early as Tuesday. He hasn't played yet this season, but if he improves from last season, he will be a fantastic fantasy player.

Head coach Dan Bylsma told reporters Thursday Eichel (ankle) is ready to start taking full contact in practice, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel won't travel with the Sabres for Friday's game against Washington, and instead will stay in Buffalo to continue his rigorous skating regimen, but appears to be nearing the completion of his rehabilitation from the high-ankle sprain he suffered in October. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Eichel will be ready to return Tuesday against Ottawa, so check back for another update on his status ahead of that contest.
