General manager Kevyn Adams is hopeful Eichel (neck) will be able to return this season, NHL.com's Nick Cotsonika reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barring a historic turnaround, the Sabres aren't going to be competing for a playoff spot this season, so they certainly won't risk Eichel's long-term health by rushing him back before he's fully recovered from his neck injury. There's still a chance Eichel will be able to return at some point this season, but at this point fantasy managers should probably prepare to be without the 24-year-old pivot for the remainder of the campaign.

According to coach Ralph Krueger, Eichel (neck) will be out for the "foreseeable future."
EDGE Analysis
There have been rumblings that Eichel's neck injury may be season ending, but Krueger and the Sabres have yet to commit to a specific timetable for the star center's recovery. More updates should be released as Eichel continues to be evaluated, but for now, fantasy managers shouldn't plan on the 24-year-old pivot being available anytime soon. Eichel's picked up two goals and 18 points through 21 games this campaign.

Eichel's already been ruled out of Buffalo's next three games at a minimum, but it sounds like he could be facing an even longer absence. Another update on the star center's status should surface in the coming days.

Eichel (upper body) returned to Buffalo and will miss at least one week, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Hamilton, it sounds like a one-week absence is the best-case scenario for Eichel -- it very well could be more based on further evaluation. If Eichel managed to return in a week, it would be against the Devils on March 16. Dylan Cozens will get the first shot at replacing Eichel on the Sabres' top line.

EDGE Analysis
The Sabres have yet to release an expected timetable for Eichel's return, but he'll miss Tuesday's matchup with Philadelphia at a minimum with his upper-body issue. With Eichel sidelined, youngster Dylan Cozens is expected to center the Sabres' top line against the Flyers.

Eichel (lower body) was held without a point and registered three shots and three hits in Sunday's 3-0 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Buffalo's franchise center returned after missing the previous two games with his injury, but he failed to produce a point for the fourth time in his last seven games. It's been a frustrating season for Eichel, who has just two goals and 12 assists with a minus-7 rating through 17 contests. He'll try to get untracked Tuesday against the Rangers.

Eichel (lower body) centered the first line during warmups ahead of Sunday's game versus the Flyers, John Vogl of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres said they'd reveal their final verdict on Eichel's status after warmups. He's certainly on the right track after handling his typical role during warmups, so all indications are that he'll play Sunday.

Eichel (lower body) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game versus the Flyers, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel has missed the last two games, including Saturday's loss to the Flyers, but head coach Ralph Krueger is leaving open the possibility that the superstar will return Sunday. The 24-year-old produced 14 points over the first 16 games prior to this injury. The final verdict on Eichel's status will be made after warmups.

Eichel (lower body) won't play Saturday against Philadelphia, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's considered day-to-day with his lower-body injury, so although he won't be available Saturday, he could return for Sunday's rematch with the Flyers. Curtis Lazar is expected to skate on the Sabres' top line until Eichel is ready to return.
