Barbashev tallied an assist during Thursday's 5-2 victory over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Barbashev has posted five goals and 10 points in 35 games, which should be enough production to warrant consistent playing time on the Blues fourth line. However, the 23-year-old has certainly benefitted from injuries further up the depth chart, so his place on a healthy Blues roster remains to be seen. As a result, his fantasy value is better reserved for dynasty formats at the moment.

Barbashev scored a goal in Friday's overtime win versus the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues fell behind after the Avalanche rung up two quick scores in the first period. With less than a minute remaining in the frame, Jaden Schwartz flipped a puck over Colorado's defensemen where Jay Bouwmeester scooped it up and made a spinning pass to Barbashev, who was waiting at the back door and knocked it in. Barbashev, who turned 23 on Friday, has come up clutch in these situations, as he now has 17 career goals and 11 have come with the Blues either behind by one goal or with the game tied.

Barbashev scored a goal and dished out a hit in Wednesday's loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Just six minutes into the first period, Barbashev collected a pass from Oskar Sundqvist and tucked it short-side past Cam Talbot to open the scoring. Barbashev has been a useful fourth-line center this year with seven points and 32 hits in 24 games, and he's been excellent at the faceoff dot lately, winning 16 of 21 draws (76.2 percent) over the last two games.

Barbashev dished out one hit in 11:52 of ice time during Friday's 4-0 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Barbashev hasn't notched a point in five games and has just three through 12 outings. His most recent highlight was dropping the gloves against the Blackhawks' defenseman Brent Seabrook, but he's been a healthy scratch twice since then. The 22-year-old could be in danger of returning to the press box once Brayden Schenn (upper body) returns to the lineup.

Barbashev has one goal and a plus-1 rating through five presesaon games.
EDGE Analysis
Last season, Barbashev started with the big club but recorded six straight pointless games and was subsequently returned to AHL San Antoinio. The 22-year-old has tons of potential and was looking to showcase that in training camp and preseason, but he's getting outplayed by prospects Sammy Blais, Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas. However, Barbashev may be kept with the big club since the Blues would need to waive him to assign him back to the minors, something they likely don't want to risk with their 2014 second-round pick that they've spent three years developing.

Barbashev finished the 2017-18 season with seven goals and six assists in 53 games.
EDGE Analysis
Fantasy owners and the Blues were nervous when Barbashev started the season pointless through 14 games, but he eventually turned it around and added four multi-point games to his resume. Due to injuries, the 22-year-old was called upon more than expected, but he logged just 12:12 of ice time per game and rarely found power-play minutes. The 6-foot, 187-pound pivot has the potential to center a bottom-six line if he can make the necessary improvements over the summer.

Barbashev notched an assist and scored a goal for the second straight game, this a 4-2 win over Anaheim on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Either Barbashev is showing signs of becoming a bigger contributor, or he should seriously consider Southern California if he ever hits free agency down the road, as he's now scored four points in two games at Los Angeles and in Orange County. His ice time is still limited, so he's probably not the best option for most leagues.

Barbashev scored a goal and an assist while adding two shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
It's his first multi-point game since early January, as Barbashev had only four points (all goals) in his last 21 games coming into Saturday. The 21-year-old is seeing limited ice time on the fourth line for the Blues, so while he could get hot and work his way into a more prominent role, the 2014 second-round pick's future remains a lot brighter than his present.

Barbashev scored an unassisted goal and recorded three shots during Tuesday's 3-1 win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The young Russian spent the bulk of Tuesday's game skating with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko, and as long as Barbashev is receiving top-six minutes, he's in position to succeed. Barbashev missed the scoresheet in five consecutive games before scoring Tuesday, but he did record a goal and four assists through his previous three outings, so there's upside here. It just wouldn't be surprising if game-to-game inconsistency continued to be a shortcoming moving forward.

Barbashev has zero points and a minus-1 rating in the last five games.
EDGE Analysis
Barbashev seemed to work his way into a full-time role when he found chemistry with Vladimir Tarasenko and has one goal and five points in three games, but he's slumped since then. Even though Barbashev is listed on the top line, he's averaged just 13:09 in the last five games, partly because he's left off the power play, and partly because head coach Mike Yeo shortens the bench towards the end of games. Still, as long as he's on a line with Tarasenko, Barbashev could be a valuable daily fantasy option.
