Karlsson picked up two assists in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
He also added a team-high eight shots and four blocked shots, along with one hit, on the night. Karlsson has had a bit of a tough transition to life outside of Ottawa, managing only two goals and 18 points through 30 games -- strong numbers for other blueliners, but a disappointment for someone with Karlsson's talent and resume -- but Friday's well-rounded effort could be a sign he's just about ready to break out.

Karlsson hosted his teammates ThursdayMike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports, as the defenseman is set to play his first game in Ottawa as a visitor Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson is likely to receive a warm reception in Ottawa, as Senators fans were heartbroken by his trade and blamed owner Eugene Melnyk rather than Karlsson for his exit from Canada's capital. It's always difficult to predict how a player handles his return to his former home, and given Karlsson's talent, any outcome from a shutout to a big afternoon is possible. That said, you don't have him on your roster to not have him in your lineup.

Karlsson scored a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory against the Blues on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a slow start with the Sharks this season, but owners just had to remain patient, and Karlsson appears ready to reward anyone who has been. He has recorded multiple points in each of the last two games, and he has five points in the past three contests. His goal Saturday was also his first of the season. This mini-hot streak has his point total up to 12 in 21 games. It wouldn't at all be a surprise if Karlsson is one of the best fantasy defensemen in the NHL during the final three-quarters of the season.

Karlsson is dealing with an undisclosed issue, but Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said it's "nothing that should be impacting his play," Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson will be fine for Sunday's road game against the Ducks. The Senators castoff has three helpers in his last four games, albeit with a minus-3 rating over that span. The upper-class blueliner is also still in pursuit of his first goal with Team Teal, but it seems like only a matter of time before he converts, seeing as how he's situated on the No. 1 power-play unit with fellow defenseman Brent Burns, who is averaging an assist per game through the first 10 contests of 2018-19.

Karlsson notched one assist Tuesday but finished a minus-3 in a 5-4 win over Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson's minus-3 performance was a team-worst in that category but the Swede salvaged Tuesday night with an assist on Joe Pavelski's goal in the third period. Karlsson has yet to score a goal for his new team and has been somewhat of a defensive liability up to this point. That said, he absolutely belongs in your fantasy lineup.

Karlsson (illness) is expected to play Sunday afternoon against the Devils, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The celebrated rearguard missed Saturday's practice due to the illness, but Karlsson is in no danger of missing the upcoming contest since Sharks coach Peter DeBoer thinks the Swede will be fine. Karlsson is still figuring out the nuances of San Jose's system -- hence his minus-4 rating -- but he does have three assists (one on the power play) over his first give games with Team Teal.

Karlsson missed practice Saturday afternoon due to an illness, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said he'll see how Karlsson is feeling ahead of Sunday's road game against the Devils. Given how Karlsson is arguably the league's top offensive defenseman, the Sharks will have trouble keeping details of his status close to the proverbial vest.

Karlsson racked up two assists -- including a power-play helper -- in Tuesday's 8-2 road rout over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Did you think one of the NHL's premier offensive defensemen was going to be kept off the scoresheet in such a high-scoring game for Team Teal? Well, in fairness, Karlsson did only have one point (assist) through his first three games, but the Swede with supreme on-ice vision is looking more comfortable with his new team upon each game.

Karlsson delivered a secondary assist on the game-winning goal Friday night, helping the Sharks to a 3-2 overtime win over the Kings. It was the star defenseman's first point with his new team.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson has averaged 28:08 of ice time through his first two games in teal. The overtime frame and limited sample size obviously skew the playing-time figure, but rest assured that the Sharks will give Karlsson all of the minutes that he can handle. After recording a lone shot in his team debut, the elite rearguard directed the puck at Jonathan Quick four times Friday, though he came up empty and didn't strike at all on the man advantage. Fret not, as the power-play goals and assists will come soon enough for Karlsson and he learns how to maximize efficiency alongside another top-tier blueliner in Brent Burns on the No. 1 power-play unit.

Karlsson was held without a point in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson led all skaters in ice-time (26:48), finishing a minus-2 on Wednesday. Despite failing to register a point, the Swedish superstar is bound to have a big year with the Sharks. One game will not define Karlsson's tenure with his new team. Pointless nights are sure to be a rarity for No. 65 in 2018-19. As a result, fantasy owners can expect him to start racking up points sooner rather than later.
