Though Johnson (knee) took the ice with his teammates on Sunday, he won't travel with the Avs, who begin a three-game road trip, Monday at Calgary. Per the report, Johnson will continue to skate in Denver and could potentially play in the Avs' next home game, which occurs March 28 against the Sabres.

Johnson (knee) did not travel with the team for Thursday's contest and is likely a week away from returning, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. It had earlier been reoprted that Johnson was optimistic that he'd rejoin the team on their upcoming five-game road trip from Mar. 19-26, but it now appears it will be on the later end of that timetable. At this point, his target date will likely be either next Wednesday against the Oilers or Thursday against the Canucks.

Johnson (knee) is expected to return during the Avalanche's upcoming five-game road trip that will span last from Mar. 19-26. Coach Patrick Roy relayed that Johnson has been doing well since he resumed skating last week, potentially putting him on track to resume practicing with the Avalanche in the coming days. Assuming that Johnson's recovery continues to progress smoothly, it appears he'll end up hitting the back end of the 3-to-8 week recovery timeline the team set for him when he first required the knee scope in late January. Prior to suffering the injury, Johnson ranked as one of the leading goal scorers among defensemen, producing 12 goals in 47 games.

Johnson (knee) was on the ice for a skate for Friday, Terry Frei of the Denver Post reports. Coach Patrick Roy relayed after Johnson's light session that it was the first time the blueliner had been on the ice since undergoing a knee scope in late January. Johnson is about six weeks through the 3-to-8 week recovery timetable the Avalanche initially established for him, so it looks like he could have a chance at meeting the back end of that frame. He'll need to make steady progress over his next handful of on-ice sessions before a more definitive target return date can be pinned down.

Coach Patrick Roy said Johnson (knee) has been swimming and performing light activities in the gym during his rehab process, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. Johnson underwent a knee scope about two weeks ago, with the Avalanche projecting him to miss 3-to-8 weeks at that time. Since he has yet to resume skating, it doesn't appear that he'll hit the short end of that timetable, but if his rehab continues to go smoothly, a return before the end of the month isn't out of the question.

Johnson (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday. The roster move was expected in the wake of the news earlier in the day that Johnson would require a knee scope and miss the next three-to-eight weeks. The newly minted All-Star, who sits tied for first in the NHL in goals (12) among defenseman, was forced to sit out the past weekend's festivities due to the injury, and it now looks like he'll be sidelined for a significant chunk of the second half. It's a crippling blow for a Colorado blue line that had already been struggling to provide protection for its goalies, who have faced the second-most shot attempts in the league this season.

Coach Patrick Roy indicated that Johnson will miss the next 3-to-8 weeks after undergoing a knee scope. We'll look for a more precise timetable in the coming days, but either way, Johnson -- who has notched 23 points in 47 games to date -- is going to miss a decent chunk of time and is thus a candidate to head to the Avs' IR list.

Johnson (lower body) wasn't on the ice for practice Monday, Rick Sadowski of NHL.com reports. Johnson didn't get a chance to participate in the All-Star festivities in Columbus due to the injury, and it appears the issue may persist at the start of the second half. The 26-year-old blueliner would be sorely missed, as he's managed to post 12 goals and 11 assists over 47 games this season.

Johnson will miss the All-Star game due to a lower-body injury. Johnson's injury likely originated in Wednesday's game against the Bruins, but he managed to play 22:57 despite the injury. He will have an extended break to rest up, as the Avalanche don't play again until Tuesday.

Johnson tallied his 11th goal of the season in Thursday's triumph over the Senators. Johnson's second game-winner of the season helped chase Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson from the contest and allowed the blueliner to establish a new career-best in goals. With the season only at its halfway point, Johnson appears well on his way to building on that total, though some regression from his 10.8 percent shooting rate (5.1% career mark) is almost certainly headed his way.
