Haula (groin) practiced Tuesday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Haula originally tweaked his groin in practice last week. At 24 years old, he is an important depth player in a high-powered Wild offense.

Haula (groin) skated on his own Sunday and is scheduled to do that again Monday with a goal of returning to a full practice Tuesday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear if he'll be ready for Thursday's first regular season game. If not, he'll begin the season on injured reserve.

Haula tweaked his groin in practice and is unlikely to play in Wednesday's preseason game, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The former seventh-round pick has been one of the biggest surprises for the Wild over the past two seasons. While he's not much of a point scorer and regressed a bit from his strong start to his NHL career, he's an important part of the team's middle-six depth. The Wild will hope to get him back on the ice sooner rather than later as the injury appears to not be serious.

Haula scored his first goal of the playoffs in Thursday's season-ending Game 4 loss to the Blackhawks. The second-year man didn't see much action in the playoffs, dressing for only two games, but he did his part in this one despite losing nine of 11 faceoffs. The 24-year-old Finn has been a productive scorer in the college and AHL ranks, and the Wild will look for him to contribute more next season.

Haula won't play Thursday against the Rangers but likely will play Saturday against the Red Wings, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. With the Wild getting back several injured players, Huala's playing time will be spotty the final weeks of the season.

Haula recorded his second straight multi-point game Saturday, scoring his seventh goal of the season and picking up an assist in a win over Colorado. While he's been hot these past two game, Haula had recorded just one point in his previous 15 games. Considering he skates on the fourth line and has just 12 points in 55 games on the season, the 23-year-old currently only has fantasy value in the deepest of leagues.

Haula finished with a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's win over the Preds. The Finnish forward had gone five games without a point and had just a lonely goal in his last 15 games. He's got little to no fantasy value right now, but Haula was a successful scorer at the University of Minnesota and at AHL Iowa, so he does have long-term upside.

Haula was on the ice for just 6:38 in Tuesday's loss to Edmonton as he likely had his playing time cut after helping to allow a goal in the second period, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Haula has been in and out of the coach's doghouse for defensive lapses, so he could be stuck on the bench again. The addition of Sean Bergenheim could also cause Huala to see reduced playing time.

Haula had two shots on goal in 10:58 of ice time in Sunday's win over Vancouver. Haula has been stuck on the bench as he was inactive the previous two games. However, he'll likely get ice time while Justin Fontaine remains out with a groin injury.

Haula will likely be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Oilers, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "It's not about skating in open ice and it's not about skating fast in a straight line," Wild coach Mike Yeo said of Haula. "It's about the compete level in the small areas, it's about being strong on the puck and puck strength and stick strength and D-zone coverage. These are the things that we need to see from him." Haula has shown glimpses of his impressive talent, but he's yet to provide consistent production at the NHL level. He has just four goals and three assists in 41 games this season, after recording six goals and nine assists in 46 games last year.
