Haula recorded his first point of the season Saturday against the Lightning, notching the game-winning goal in a 7-2 victory. The third-line center entered the 2014-15 season with some sleeper potential after a solid showing during the playoffs, but he's done little to justify much excitement thus far. With one point and 10 shots on goal in six games, it's probably best for those in deeper formats to wait for Haula to find his scoring touch before grabbing him.

Haula, who suffered a broken jaw at the World Championships in Belarus in May, is back to full strength at the start of training camp, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Haula looks set to center the Wild's third line. Huala had a strong showing in the playoffs with four goals and seven points in 11 games and looks set to build on that performance with a set job in the NHL this season.

Erik Haula will likely play at center next season. While coach Mike Yeo would not commit to Haula playing center only, he did say that that the Finn, who busted his jaw at the 2014 World Championships, was best suited to play as a pivot. "I like him in the middle. I think his speed is more of a factor when he's coming through the middle of the ice," Yeo said. "Defensively he's very, very strong down low in his own zone -- because of his speed, because of his stick, because he's a smart player." Haula did not require surgery and should be 100 percent by the end of June.

Erik Haula fractured his jaw while playing in the gold medal game in the 2014 World Championship. The good news is that Haula should be fine in four weeks and he won't need surgery. He had six goals and nine assists in 46 contests in 2013-14.

Erik Haula was the only Minnesota goal scorer Tuesday as the team was eliminated from the playoffs following a 2-1 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 6 of the western conference semi-finals. Haula tied the game to 1-1 with a burst of speed and a deadly shot at 2:29 of the second period. Haula finished his playoffs with four goals and three assists in 13 games. The rookie was one of the best Minnesota players in the postseason.

Erik Haula scored the Minnesota Wild's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to the Blackhawks in playoff action in Chicago Sunday night. The goal was a gem. Haula opened the scoring with a beautiful combination of jaw-dropping speed and hustle. He carried the puck the length of the ice, blowing past two all-stars -- forward Patrick Kane and defenseman Duncan Keith -- before snapping off a shot that was stopped by Chicago goalie Corey Crawford. Haula got his own rebound, though, and backhanded the puck. This time, Crawford saved with his extended leg pad, but the puck bounced up in the air and into the net before Brent Seabrook could bat it away with his stick. The goal was Haula's third of the post-season.

Erik Haula posted the game-winning goal against Chicago in Game 3 on Tuesday night. He opened up the floodgates in the third after two scoreless periods. The Wild scored four answered goals in the final frame. Haula has arguably been Minnesota's best forward in the series. Haula has earned a point in three straight games versus the Blackhawks to give him a total of five in 10 outings these playoffs.

Erik Haula is projected to be back with Justin Fontaine and Nino Niederreiter in Game 2 against Chicago. Ten trio practiced Saturday and they played together during the first round versus Minnesota. "I feel we had a good series when we played together against Colorado," Niederreiter said. "We are three pretty fast guys and we know we can make plays out there but at same time we know we have to play solid defensively and make sure we play our game and system. That's when good things will happen." Haula has a goal and two assists in eight postseason contests.

Erik Haula produced a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-3 loss to Nashville. It was the first multi-point game of his NHL career. The Wild rookie ended the regular season strong with three goals and seven points in his last seven games. He has played well while filling in on Minnesota's second line, but if Mikael Granlund is able to return in the playoffs then Haula will get bumped down the depth chart.
