Haula will likely be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Oilers, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "It's not about skating in open ice and it's not about skating fast in a straight line," Wild coach Mike Yeo said of Haula. "It's about the compete level in the small areas, it's about being strong on the puck and puck strength and stick strength and D-zone coverage. These are the things that we need to see from him." Haula has shown glimpses of his impressive talent, but he's yet to provide consistent production at the NHL level. He has just four goals and three assists in 41 games this season, after recording six goals and nine assists in 46 games last year.
