Duncan Keith picked up four assists in Chicago's win over the Blue Jackets Tuesday. The blueliner reaches the 40-point mark in the blowout win, during which Patrick Sharp netted two goals while Andrew Shaw, Marian Hossa and Brent Seabrook also found the back of the net.

Duncan Keith and the rest of the players on the Blackhawks' first power-play unit have struggled tremendously this month. In fact, the Hawks have not scored a goal in their last 39 power-play chances. For a team with as much talent as Chicago, that is rather unbelievable. Look for the Hawks to make a trade by the deadline to solidify their defence and to spark their power play.

Duncan Keith reached the 30 assist mark on Tuesday. Keith is the fifth blueliner to accomplish that feat this season. This is also the fourth straight season that he's reached that milestone. Keith's 69 point 2009-10 might go down as by far the best season of his career, but he should consistently record 40 or so points per season while he's still in his prime.

Duncan Keith helped the Chicago Blackhawks overcome a 1-0 St. Louis Blues lead to eventually win 3-1. Keith scored the game-tying goal and recorded an assist on the winning tally. Keith had a +3 rating and more than 28 minutes of ice time in a big clash of Central Division teams.

Duncan Keith registered two assists in Chicago's 5-2 loss on Tuesday. Keith ended a season-high five-game pointless streak. He hasn't been able to come close to repeating the success he had in 2009-10 when he recorded 69 points in 82 games, but Keith should be counted on to record 40 or so points each season.

Duncan Keith experienced an interesting mix of good and bad stats in the Chicago Blackhawks' 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. On the bright side, Keith assisted on both of the Blackkhawks' goals. The bad news is that he finished the night with a -2 rating, as he was on the ice for four of Colorado's five goals as well.

Duncan Keith is an all-star in the eyes of many NHL followers but he isn't complaining that he won't be participating in the festivities this weekend in Ottawa. The Chicago Blackhawks' top defenseman plans to take advantage of the five-day rest. ''I'm going to use the break and have a good last 30 or so games after,'' Keith said. ''I'm going to try to use it to my advantage and hopefully come back with a lot of energy and help the team get some wins.'' The Hawks have allowed 138 goals in 49 games this season, and their defense in front of goalies Corey Crawford and Ray Emery has been scrutinized. It's also a reason why general manager Stan Bowman is searching for a blue-liner as the trade deadline nears. Keithhasn't escaped criticism, either. He came under fire when he was a minus-8 in losses to the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames in November. But Keith rebounded and is a plus-13 since those outings. And his play with blue-line partner Brent Seabrook has been crucial in the Hawks' recent 5-1-1 stretch.

Duncan Keith was a -1 and held off the score sheet again in the Blackhawks 4-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Keith isn't an offensive star, but he is well above average in the points department, and he has been cold the past 11 games, recording a mere three assists. Right now, the only positive stat for Keith is his +/-, but he'll need to pick up his offensive output if he hopes to crack the 50 point barrier.

Duncan Keith's offensive game is returning to 2009-10 Norris Trophy status. Keith had an outstanding campaign in 2009-10 when he was named the NHL's best defenseman as he had 69 points including 55 assists, but he dropped off to only 45 points last season in a bit of an off-year for the Blackhawk blueliner. His offensive production is up this year with two goals and 19 points, so he's on pace for a 55 point season if he keeps it up. "Lately it seems I've been more involved on the power play," Keith said. "We have a lot of great players who can play on the power play. Especially the unit I'm on with Hossa, Kane, Sharp and Toews. I'm going to do the best I can to help out when I'm out there." Keith is one of the NHL's best rearguards and should be active in all formats of fantasy hockey.

Duncan Keith will be looking to bounce back on Wednesday after posting a minus-eight rating over his previous two contests. Chicago was outscored 14-4 in two games over the weekend and while that's not entirely his fault, he is willing to assume some the blame. "I have no problem with that," Keith said. "I know there were things I could have done better the last few games." The Chicago Blackhawks had three off days between their 9-2 loss to Edmonton and their game against San Jose. With that much time to stew, we expect Chicago to play with a lot of passion against the Sharks.
