Derek Roy (groin) partook in a full practice Saturday and is slated to return to action Monday. Roy was injured on Jan. 24 and has missed the last five games with the groin injury. The Stars may shift their lineup around as they signed Jamie Benn during Roy's absence and both are definitely top six forwards. Roy is still on the injured reserve list so a move will have to be made Monday in order to activate him.

Derek Roy (groin) was on the ice on Friday. Roy is still expected to miss Friday and Saturday's game. However, there's a 80% chance he'll return on Monday, according to Stars coach Glen Gulutzan.

Dallas Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk said Derek Roy (groin) skated Tuesday, but is still battling and might not return in time for Friday's game. Roy's been sidelined since he was injured Jan. 24 against the Blackhawks. There was thought Roy would be activated at some point this week after the Stars sent down Colton Sceviour earlier Tuesday, but at this point all owners can do is play the waiting game.

He has two assists and if he is able to go, he could see Jamie Benn on his wing, if Benn is able to get his work visa in time. Roy's fantasy value will get a bump with Benn on his wing as Benn is one of the better players in the NHL.

Derek Roy will miss Saturday's game against the Blues. Roy is still dealing with the aftereffects of a hit he received Tuesday against the Red Wings. Dallas' next game is Monday night.

Derek Roy centered the top line during the first day of practice Sunday. Normally Jamie Benn would fill the roll but Benn is a restricted free agent. Roy was between Loui Eriksson and Jaromir Jagr while Tom Wandell centered Ray Whitney and Michael Ryder. Look for Benn to take over the top role when he signs with Roy replacing Wandell on the second unit. Roy has fully recovered from his summer shoulder surgery that would have kept him out of action until November, had the NHL started on time.
