Wideman contributed a pair of assists in 25:04 of ice time in Tuesday's win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
That's a three-game point streak for Wideman, who now has 13 assists in 27 games on the season. While he's starting to produce points, fantasy goers are disappointed he's stuck at zero goals this season after exploding for a career-high 15 last season. He's logging heavy minutes and seeing power-play time, so expect the veteran to get on the board rather soon.

Wideman has dished out eight assists, but is yet to score in 19 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old veteran registered a career-high 15 goals and 41 assists last season. 19 games in to the 2015-16 season Wideman has notched 50 percent of his eight points on the power play, and has been a cause for concern on defense with his minus-11 rating. Although Wideman is logging 23 minutes of ice time a game, he has not seen playing time with top defenseman, Mark Giordano, and his offensive production has suffered because of it.

Wideman picked up a pair of assists in Saturday's loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Wideman is yet to find twine this season, but he's piled on five assists in his last four games and is logging heavy minutes. The 32-year-old notched 56 points last season and is already on the way to another productive season as a key piece on the Calgary blueline. One thing to note, however, is that Wideman is a minus-6 over his last three games, so the team will likely be looking for some better defensive play from the veteran.

Wideman displayed excellent passing Tuesday, tallying two helpers in a loss to St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Wideman showed why the Flames' blue line was so dominant offensive last season, picking up two assists on some impressive passing. He found Mason Raymond streaking towards the net to open the scoring and made a nice pass to Johnny Gaudreau, who set up Jiri Hudler's power-play goal. Wideman led Calgary in ice time, accumulating 26:07, but he finished minus-1. It's surprising to see Wideman skate more than Mark Giordano (23:10) and play nearly as much as the Flames captain on the power play (3:17 to 3:15). With T.J. Brodie out, along with the increased playing time, Wideman gets a big fantasy boost.

Wideman was plus-1 and set up two scores in Friday night's win over the Canucks, though he did experience defensive lapses in the form of a takeaway and two giveaways.
EDGE Analysis
The well-traveled Wideman enjoyed one of the better seasons of his career in 2014-15, dialing in 15 goals and 41 assists through 80 contests with the Flames. He's likely to get overlooked on a squad that features a more talented defenseman in Mark Giordano, but then again, the two could very well form a top defensive pairing in Calgary and complement each other just fine. Emerging young blueliner Dougie Hamilton, acquired in an offseason trade with Boston, could also eat into Wideman's minutes should the latter falter for an extended period of time. As much as we think Wideman can get the job done for the Flames, the upside is not there.

Wideman racked up two assists and blocked six shots in Sunday's series-ending Game 5 loss to the Ducks.
While he didn't find twine this postseason, Wideman racked up a whopping seven assists -- sixth most in the NHL. He logged over 25 minutes of ice time in each of the Flames' final four games and also aided fantasy owners with 27 PIM. After notching a career-high 56 points in the regular season, Wideman should be a top fantasy target on the back-end once again next season.

Wideman and the rest of the Flames' offense finally woke up on Tuesday, facing a late deficit in a game where they could go down 3-0 in the series. After putting up a career-high 56 points in the regular season, Wideman keeps humming along with five points in nine playoff contests.

Wideman missed practice Saturday, but will be good to go Sunday against the Ducks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
We haven't heard any specifics on any injuries for Wideman, so expect him to play as normal when the Flames take on the Ducks on Sunday even though he missed practice.

Wideman dished two power-play assists in Tuesday's Game 4 win against Vancouver.
He'd picked up just a lonely assist in the first three games of the series, but 12 PIM as well. Wideman's coming off the best offensive season of his career, and three points in four games give him a fine playoff pace in his first postseason action since 2011-12 with Washington.

Wideman (rest) is not expected to play Saturday against the Jets, Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet reports.
Wideman has been an oasis for fantasy owners down the stretch, producing a goal and six assists over his last three games. However, with the Flames having punched their playoff ticket with a win over the Kings on Thursday, Wideman will be rested for the team's final regular-season contest. The blueliner will finish the campaign with 15 goals and 56 points, which will represent career marks in both categories.
