Rittich will start Tuesday's road contest against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Despite Mike Smith going down with a groin injury in Sunday's game, head coach Glen Gulutzan had already decided on Rittich starting Tuesday, and for good reason. The Czech rookie has been phenomenal when called upon this season, going 5-1-2 with a 2.20 GAA and .927 save percentage in 10 appearances, but he may find difficulty when facing the Bruins on Tuesday. Boston is the fourth-highest scoring team in the league and have gone an astonishing 22-2-2 in their last 26 games.

Rittich was forced to enter Sunday's game against the Islanders with just two seconds remaining after Mike Smith had to be helped off the ice with what appeared to be a groin injury.
EDGE Analysis
Smith made a game-saving stop on John Tavares in the dying seconds and then had to be helped off the ice by teammates. The Flames return to against Tuesday against the Bruins and it remains to be seen whether Smith will be good to go. If the Flames' starter if forced to miss any period of time, Rittich will likely step into the starting role. The 25-year-old has posted a strong 5-1-2 record with a .927 save percentage this season and would become a must-add on a Calgary squad battling for playoff position.

Rittich saved 30 of 32 shots during Thursday's 3-2 win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
The Czech netminder continues to shine in a backup role. Thursday's strong showing improves him to a 5-1-2 record, .927 save percentage and 2.20 GAA for the campaign, and he projects to remain a solid spot-start option when patrolling the blue paint. It's not out of the question for Mike Smith owners to consider handcuffing him with Rittich for the fantasy stretch drive.

Rittich will claim the visiting net Thursday against the Devils, Derek Wills of Sportsnet The FAN reports
EDGE Analysis
Rittich's looks in the crease have come few and far between this season behind the ageless Mike Smith. The 25-year-old netminder has posted a solid line when given an opportunity this season, owning a 2.23 GAA and .926 save percentage to go along with his 4-1-2 record. After a couple of impressive campaigns in the AHL, it seems the Flames may have found a diamond in the rough between the pipes. Though they aren't ready yet to give the Czech Republic native a full-time role at this point, Smith's contract expires following the 2018-19 campaign. He'll attempt to fend off pucks Thursday from a Devils club tallying just 2.88 goals per game (tied for 20th in NHL) at home this season.

Rittich made 34 saves on 37 shot in Thursday's shootout loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich made some impressive saves and was a prime reason the Flames earned a point. Mike Smith has been phenomenal in his first year in Calgary, but Rittich is playing well when called upon, posting a 4-1-2 record with a .929 save percentage. He continues to make for a solid spot start whenever the team rests it's workhorse starting netminder.

Rittich will protect the road net from the Oilers on Thursday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich has done a tremendous job as a rookie netminder for a Flames team sitting in third place within the competitive Pacific Division. He's posted a 4-1-1 record, 2.03 GAA and .932 save percentage while staving off prospect Jon Gillies for the time being. Despite the presence of all-world pivot Connor McDavid, facing the Oilers hasn't been a daunting task this year, as that team owns a minus-23 goal differential. With further consideration to the notion that your casual fantasy owner probably doesn't even know about Rittich, he makes for a sneaky option on Thursday's 15-game mega slate.

Rittich allowed just two goals on 43 shots during Friday's 4-2 win over Florida.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie has now allowed two goals or fewer in each of his six starts this season for a 4-1-1 record, .932 save and 2.03 GAA. Those are impressive numbers, and Rittich is at worst on the fantasy radar as a streaming candidate and consideration for daily contests. Additionally, in deep seasonal leagues, he could be worth a roster spot as a Mike Smith handcuff. The 25-year-old Czech might even prove to carry standalone value.

Rittich will block the road cage from the Panthers on Friday, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Calgary's rookie tender has been very impressive in limited action this season, fashioning a 3-1-1 record, 2.04 GAA and .924 save percentage through five games. This will be his first time taking to the ice in 2018, fielding shots against a Florida club that ranks fourth in shot attempts per game (34.4) and boasts a 10-6-3 record at BB&T Center.

Rittich stopped 30 of 32 shots in Thursday's shootout loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich turned in an impressive performance, but Joonas Donskoi and Joe Pavelski dazzled in their own right to give the Sharks the victory. The 25-year-old owns a .924 save percentage in five starts this season and is proving to be a decent spot start whenever he gets the nod. He didn't come away with the victory Thursday, but Rittich has suffered just one regulation loss and is giving the Flames a chance to win when he's in the cage.

Rittich will tend the twine for Thursday's clash with the Sharks, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich will be logging just the sixth game of his NHL career and fifth of the 2017-18 campaign. The netminder has performed well in his limited opportunities, as he is 4-1-0 with a .919 save percentage. San Jose will be without its leading scorer in Logan Couture (concussion), which improves Rittich's chances of walking away with another win.
