Rittich was briefly sent to AHL Stockton and immediately recalled Monday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
With starter Mike Smith (lower body) currently on injured reserve, Rittich and interim backup Jon Gillies were both sent to minors momentarily to ensure they'd be eligible for AHL postseason. Rittich has more experience this season (15 games) than Gillies (two games), so it's predicted that he'll back up Smith if the Flames reach the playoffs.

Rittich stopped only 19 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie netminder actually kept things close through the first half of the game, but Vegas scored four unanswered goals -- including three on only seven shots in the third period -- to put things away. Rittich now has a brutal 4.47 GAA and .861 save percentage over the last five games, winning only one of them, and with Mike Smith (lower body) still lacking a timetable for his return, the Flames may have little choice but to give Jon Gillies a chance to hold down the fort instead.

Rittich will start in goal Wednesday night against the Golden Knights, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich rebounded from a dud against the Panthers by setting aside 30 of 32 shots from the Bruins on Monday, but he was still saddled with an overtime loss. Mike Smith (lower body) is still tending to his lower-body injury, so Flames coach Glen Gulutzan will be hoping that the third time is indeed the charm for the rookie against a Golden Knights club that amazingly has held the standard for Western Conference play with a whopping 82 points in 59 games in its inaugural campaign.

Rittich stopped 30 of 32 shots during Monday's 2-1 overtime loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Through four starts since Mike Smith went down with a lower body injury, Rittich has posted a disappointing 1-2-1 record, .890 save percentage and 3.73 GAA. Monday's start was definitely his best, though. Smith's ailment isn't expected to keep him out much longer, so Rittich's workload will likely decrease moving forward. Still, the Czech netminder is worth considering when starting against a favorable opponent.

Rittich will be the home starter against the Bruins on Monday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich will look to bounce back after letting in four goals on 15 shots in his last start. In fact, the last few games have been rough for the 25-year-old. He has a 4.54 GAA and an .872 save percentage in his last three outings. Now he has to face a Bruins team that has scored 3.27 goals per contest.

Rittich allowed four goals on 15 shots in Saturday's 6-3 home loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie netminder received the starting nod since Mike Smith (lower body) was unfit to play in the contest, but Flames coach Glen Gulutzan pulled him in favor of Jon Gillies to finish the game. Rittich earned three wins in five tries to go along with a .924 save percentage in the first half of the season, but he's tapered off based on a .906 save mark in eight games since then. We see the potential with the 25-year-old, but it's probably best to stream him only in highly favorable matchups.

Rittich will start in goal Saturday night against the Panthers, Derek Willis of Sportsnet960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Calgary's primary starter Mike Smith is still tending to a lower-body injury, so Rittich will command the crease for the third straight game. The Cats put 43 shots on the rookie in a Jan. 12 start, but the Czech goalie managed to prevail in that one. Since Rittich isn't a household name outside of Calgary, he makes for a strong value play in most fantasy formats this time out.

Rittich stopped 29 of 32 shots during Thursday's 4-3 win over Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Going into Bridgestone Arena and leaving victorious is rare, and Rittich definitely warrants a hat tip for his strong play in the blue paint Thursday. The Czech netminder now sports a 6-2-2 record, .921 save percentage and 2.47 GAA, and this performance might allow Calgary to be a little more cautious with Mike Smith (groin) and not rush the veteran back. It's not out of the question to count on Rittich receiving a slight uptick in work moving forward, and extra starts would make him a potential grab in deep settings.

Rittich will start for the second time in as many games Thursday, taking on the Predators in Nashville, the Calgary Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich surrendered four goals on 39 shots in a road loss to Boston on Tuesday, but he still looked good enough to warrant another start against a legitimate playoff contender. Nashville averages 3.05 goals per game -- that's good for 10th in the league -- and their power play is particularly dangerous at 22.8 percent. Rittich carries an impressive 5-2-2 record, 2.41 GAA and .923 save percentage into this next contest, so we expect that the rookie will hold strong against the Preds.

Rittich saved 35 of 39 shots during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Don't overreact to this underwhelming showing from Rittich, as the Bruins are a legitimate Stanley Cup contender. Plus, even with the mediocre showing, the 25-year-old Czech owns a .923 save percentage and 2.41 GAA for the campaign. Mike Smith's groin injury isn't expected to be serious , but Calgary will also likely be cautious with him over the coming weeks. Rittich has the potential to see an increased workload, which offers a fleeting boost in fantasy value.
