Carr will replace Artturi Lehkonen (upper body) in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Bruins, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lehkonen was placed on injured reserve Monday, opening up a spot on the fourth line for Carr. who has an assist in two games this season. He began the season with Montreal, but was mostly a healthy scratch and was sent down to St. John's of the AHL on Oct. 27 before getting called back up Nov. 2. He showed off his scoring touch in a short stay with the IceCaps, registering two goals and an assist in three games. If he can provide some offense on the fourth line, Carr could easily replace Lehkonen, who is scoreless in the last six games.

Carr was recalled from AHL St. John's on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
In a move that saves some cap salary, the team decided to wait a day and call up Carr Wednesday evening. With the team already in action, his first chance to join the lineup will come Friday against the Blue Jackets. Carr has tallied a point in two games with the Canadiens this season, but figures to be a borderline lineup option on a nightly basis

Carr was reassigned to AHL St. John's on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr has largely served as an extra forward for the Habs in the infancy of the 2016-17 campaign. After sampling the NHL for 23 games last season, he's appeared in just two of eight games so far. He's sure to benefit from increased playing time in the minors, and we'd be surprised if Carr wasn't one of the first players called up in the event of an injury to some of Montreal's more established players.

Carr is not expected to play in Saturday's game against the Bruins, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears that Carr will be a healthy scratch for the upcoming contest. The kid from Alberta has the potential to do big things offensively, but the Habs are deep at forward and thus have the luxury of putting Carr in the lineup only when it's clear that he'd be in prime position to succeed. The rookie was productive in his season debut last week, notching an assist and skating to a plus-1 rating in a win over Buffalo.

Carr picked up an assist, two PIM and a shot on goal to go with a plus-1 rating in Thursday's season-opening win against Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
He'll turn 25 next month, so Carr's not exactly a prospect even though he has only 24 NHL games under his belt, but he showed a bit of offensive flair when he was up with the Habs last year. He also showed well in the AHL after a strong college career, so Carr may simply be blooming a bit late. However, he's still only playing third-line minutes and will need to see his role increase before most fantasy owners have use for him.

Carr's goal at 15:10 of the third period was the game winner in Montreal's 4-3 preseason win over Boston on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a pretty goal for Carr, who finished off a turnover in the Bruins zone, taking a pass from Michael McCarron and then stickhandling around two defensemen before deking goalie Tuukka Rask. The Alberta-native showed off his offensive acumen in limited minutes last season for Montreal before injuring his knee and is expected to start the regular season on Montreal's third line.

Carr signed a two-year deal with Montreal on Friday, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr showed some offensive pop for the Habs as a rookie in 2015-16, scoring six goals with nine points in 23 games while averaging a mere 12:04 of ice time. We're learn the make up of Montreal's lines during training camp, but someone with a scoring touch like Carr is expected to be somewhere in the top nine.

Carr received a qualifying offer from the Canadiens on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
By tendering a qualifying offer to Carr, the Habs retain the negotiating rights to the restricted free agent. He flashed scoring potential as a rookie last season, potting six goals in 23 games, despite averaging only 12:04 of ice time per contest.

Carr had a goal and finished plus-2 in Thursday night's win over the Hurricanes. His second-period tally turned out to be the game-winner, and was his first since returning from a knee injury three games ago.
EDGE Analysis
Carr, skating with Lars Eller and Tomas Plekanec, went to the net consistently and was rewarded when Plekanec's shot dribbled through a Carolina defenseman right to Carr, who redirected the puck into the net. The goal was the the rookie's sixth in just 22 games (12:02 average time on ice) -- it doesn't take a math major to figure out that's a 20-goal pace for an 82-game season. One of the lessons learned from Montreal's utterly forgettable season is that they need forwards who can score; Carr has showed promise in that area. Look for him to be part of the mix next fall when Montreal -- will it be head coach Michel Therrien? -- is deciding the makeup of lines entering the 2016-17 season.

Carr returned to the lineup Saturday, getting off one shot in 11:54 of ice time in a 4-3 loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Carr, who has been out since late January with a knee injury, skated on the fourth line. Outside of the Habs' top line -- Max Pacioretty, Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallgher -- there's not a lot to offer from lines two through four. It would nice to see Carr work with more talented forwards, but there's just too few to be found on the roster at this point.
